DraftKings Open Championship Lineup

Well, I’ve identified myself as a true DFS addict (hey, the first step to recovery is admittance right?) so that means I’m rolling out a PGA lineup for the Open Championship this weekend while I’m waiting for baseball to come back. Please bet low on this, because honestly this could flop big time! But, let’s have some fun with it and appreciate some golf.

The Lineup

Adam Scott – $10,700

Tiger Woods – $8,600

Shane Lowry – $8,100

Luke Donald – $7,700

Graeme McDowell – $7,600

Bernd Wiesberger – $7,300

Some Remarks

First of all, I think this lineup is best suited for use in tournaments and GPPs rather than cash games, since there are a lot of boom or bust names. Adam Scott is an elite golfer who has top-5 finishes in his last three Open Championships, so my priciest pick was a no brainer. We all know about Tiger Woods, and with his presumable low-ownership he is a great sleeper pick especially at his price. Lowry, a native Irishman, would like nothing better than to contend for his homeland major and he has a good track record on the European Tour. Donald and McDowell are formerly “on top of the world” golfers who can potentially get hot, brave the elements, and hopefully lock down a top-10 finish (the ideal GPP pick). Finally, Wiesberger is coming off of a three-shot win at the Astom Open de France and is playing well in 2015 despite only two British Open starts.
