DraftKings Value Plays- NFL Week 15 (12/15/19)

Week 15 sure has a Week 17 feel to it. Plenty of great players sitting out due to injury and lots of value to be had. We can’t touch on them all but I will highlight a few of my favorites.

Please note, a ton can (and will) change between article posting and kickoff, follow me on Twitter for all my thoughts on additional value coming and going before lineups lock.

QUARTERBACK

Kyler Murray ($5,600), Arizona Cardinals vs. Cleveland Browns:

Plenty of value around Kyler but Murray is the best talent of the bunch so I will try not to overthink this one. Plus, he faces a team missing their best defender and it will be indoors so we don’t have to worry about weather. Murray hasn’t produced lately but I think he bounces back in this spot.

RUNNING BACK

Raheem Mostert ($5,200), San Fransisco 49ers at Atlanta Falcons:

I am cheating a bit here because I normally like to dip under 5K but I made that arbitrary rule and since this is my article I can break it. This says more about avoiding the chalkier cheaper plays like Laird and A.D. as well. There is some risk involved but Shanahan has said all the right things that make me believe Mostert is the new 1a in this rushing offense. They are a big favorite at home which equals running the ball down their throats. Please Note: if Josh Jacobs misses, Deandre Washington vaults to the priority value play of the week.

WIDE RECEIVER

Greg Ward Jr. ($3,000) Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Redskins:

So much value on the WR side. You can honestly look at the Jacksonville, Detroit, and Tampa for multiple value plays. I picked out Ward because he is the cheapest value of them all and he showed up really well last week when Wentz started coming back. Pick and choose between all the value and hope you hit it.

TIGHT END

O.J. Howard ($3,500), Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Detroit Lions:

I could have written up Ian Thomas again but I will go to the freak athlete who COULD slide into the #2 role for the pass happiest team in the league. I have swung and missed on O.J. so much this year but I am willing to stand in the batter’s box again with him.

DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS

Detroit Lions ($2,300) vs. Tampa Bay:

We know the drill by now. Tampa is capable of scoring 30+ points AND throw multiple pick sixes. Jameis is good at racking up stats for his offense and the opposing defense. There isn’t much value I like at defense so I am fine dipping really low to the Lions squad.
