Fan Duel Week 3 DFS Values!

What’s up everyone, week 2 brought us many injuries, including the overall ADP, first and seconds picks, CMC and Barkley. The turf at METLIFE stadium is being questioned, Brees looked done and The Jets look like, the Jets. With week 2 in the rearview mirror, I hope my week 3 FanDuel values find you luck and win you money! Don’t forget my GUT FEELING PLAYER this week. As always, we only play milli makers here!

Week 2 Gut Feeling Player: Saquon Barkley.

Saquon Barkley finished as weeks 2 RB64. I am heart broken, not only as a fellow DFS advisor, but as a Giants fan, that Barkley has torn his ACL and is out for the rest of 2020, and maybe further. Both I and the Giants plan on being better.

Gut Feeling Play Record: 1-1.

QUARTERBACKS

Joe Burrow (@ Phi) – $7,400.

Joe Burrow has snuck into QB1 territory being the QB12 through the first 2 weeks of the season. Despite no pre-season and 1 game into his career, Zac Taylor allowed his rookie quarterback to attempt 61 passes during week 2 in which he ONLY completed 60% of his passes. It resulted in Burrow still having a fantastic fantasy night throwing for 316 yards and 3 touchdowns, while adding 19 yards on the ground; allowing for him to finish as the weeks QB10. Burrow has passed the eye test early and his weapons can only get better; as AJ Green is still trying to get his legs underneath him. The Eagles gave up 267 yards and 3 touchdowns to Jared Goff last week; I expect a 2.5x value return from Burrow this week.

Teddy Bridgewater (@ LAC) – $6,700.

I feel like this should be more of a talked about play this week despite CMC ruled out and The Chargers allowing the 7th most points to the QB position at 22.4 per game. Yes, one of those quarterbacks happen to be Patrick Mahomes, but Burrow held his own in week 1. What was intriguing to me was that, between Mahomes and Burrow, they combined for 14 rush attempts, 100 yards with 1 touchdown against the Chargers defense. Bridgewater and The Panthers are without their best player in Christian McCaffrey. I am unsure how much of a load Davis will have but even so, he finished last week with 8 receptions, so at least that part of the game wont change for Teddy. He can return 3x value in week 3.

RUNNING BACKS

Jerick McKinnon (@ NYG) – $5,700.

Just for the record, I am starting McKinnon against my guys in blue, in every league I have him in. My favorite post week 1 waiver claim finally has a chance to be fantasy relevant for the first time in 2 years. McKinnon has done fine in this San Francisco crowded backfield as he is the RB 19 on the year despite playing 2nd fiddle to Raheem Mostert in the early goings. But with Mostert and Coleman both out, its McKinnon’s backfield against a Giants defense that allowed Benny Snell to rush for 119 yards in week 1 and David Montgomery to total 127 yards and 1 touchdown. I fully expect a competitive game and The Giants to cover the spread as well as hit the over on 41.5 point total. Don’t forget Jimmy G will likely be out as well; time for Mr. Shanahan to dial up some new run plays. The fact he’s cheaper than the next guy on my list is insane.

Joshua Kelley (vs Car) – $5,900.

What can I say? The rookie continues to impress as he has now finished back to back weeks without at least 12 fantasy points. He had a heck of a game against KC as he totaled 113 yards on 25 touches. He has continued to get the goal line looks and receive passing game work. As long as the backfield split for The Chargers continues, Kelley will be flex worthy each and every week. They go up against the worse rush defense in the league as Carolina has allowed the RB1 in week 1, the RB5 and RB21 in week 2. Fire up the California kid!

WIDE RECEIVERS

Will Fuller (@ Pit) – $6,000

There must be some positive regression for Will Fuller, Deshaun Watson and this Houston offense. Last week was brutal for the Texans and even worse for Fuller who fought off a hamstring injury and received 0 targets. But I look at what Pittsburg struggled with through the first two weeks and it’s the chunk plays through the air. They allowed Jeff Driskel to throw for 256 yards and 2 touchdowns last week and in week 1 Darius Slayton torched them for 6 receptions, 102 yards and 2 touchdowns. I expect Fuller to have similar success against this Steelers secondary as Houston will absolutely struggle to run the ball against that front 7. Fuller has a chance to return 4x value this week.

Russell Gage (vs Chi) – $5,600

The Julio Jones hamstring issues has come as a shock post week 2, but unfortunately, not surprising given his history of injuries and trying to play through them. Yet, instead of the recently acquired TE Hayden Hurst, Russell Gage has been option numero dos behind, wait for it, Calvin Ridley. Now, I do expect a lower scoring game this week against Atlanta, but this is 100% against Julio not playing this week. Even so, Gage has been this years WR 14 and despite his 6 RECEPTIONS for 46 yards (down from week 2), I expect him to continue his success in week 3 against Chicago.

GUT FEELING PLAYER

Miles Sanders (vs Cin) – $7,400

It can be the under achievement of the Eagles this year so far; it could be the fact that Wentz has struggled and should break the streak soon. I think, its because both Chubb(3) and Hunt(5) finished as top5 running backs in week 2 against the Bengals. I think its because Joshua Kelley, rookie running back, finished as the RB20 in week 1 (Ekeler had a week 1 struggle.) I have ZERO shares of Sanders this season, and I hate it because of weeks like this. Look for baby Barkley(Penn State!) to step up this week and lead The Eagles to there first win.
