Fan Duel Week 5 Value Plays!

What’s up everyone, week 4 is in the books and we’re heating up! I’m not much of a slow player but through 4 weeks I have a positive net profit and enough to play through the rest of the season. When playing DFS, sometimes placing on a weekly basis is more meaningful because over time your net gain rises and that’s what the floor goal is when playing the milli maker; place and live to fight another day. Last week was the first week of the season affected by COVID-19 as Chiefs vs Patriots was postpone which gave us a treat of a Monday Night double header; mean while the Titans and Steelers game was postponed in its entirety. Lets keep positive thoughts as we stroll into week 5. Don’t forget my GUT FEELING PLAYER this week and as always, we only play milli makers here!

Week 4 Gut Feeling Player: Will Fuller

Man, did this feel good! Fuller came through for fantasy owners who started him and DFS players who took the chance on him. He finished as the weeks WR8 in .5 PPR scoring and finished with 6 receptions, 108 yards and 1 touchdown. Fuller was drafted on 17.6% of entries for Fan Duel’s milli maker, and he was indeed on the milli maker winners team.

Gut Feeling Play Record: 3-1.

QUARTERBACKS

Teddy Bridgewater (@ ATL) – $7,100

Teddy comes into week 5 as a major chalk play and is going to be highly owned in cash plays this week. Mr. Bridgewater had a fantastic week 4, in what was a favorable matchup for him against Arizona. Now he steps onto the field in Atlanta against a Falcons defense that has allowed the most fantasy football points to the QB position. The Atlanta Falcons have allowed 13 total passing touchdowns and 3 rushing touchdowns to quarterbacks. I mean, Nick Foles finished as the QB16 in week 3 and he only played 1 half against the Falcons. I’m personally streaming Bridgewater in two home leagues so I may sound more hopeful here, but the matchup is beautiful and Teddy with this Carolina offense still looks good despite CMC being out; they’ve definitely proved me wrong so far this season.

RUNNING BACKS

David Johnson (vs JAC) – $6,400

Man, if this isn’t the week for The Houston Texans than maybe they really are broken. Jacksonville is coming off a week in which was a get right game for Joe Mixon, as they allowed him to finish the day with 181 total yards, 6 receptions and 3 touchdowns. Game script hasn’t been in David Johnsons favor and it has resulted in just 51 carries, 20th in the NFL. What bodes well for DJ is that the Jags give up a ton of receptions to the running back position as they’ve allowed 28 total receptions through 4 weeks. Johnson has 9 receptions on 14 targets for the year and mixed with the lack of carries, he has been underwhelming thus far, but with a coaching change I expect a rejuvenated Houston team let alone offense. DJ will be a big part of that in week 5 as he can return 4x value.

Antonio Gibson (vs LAR) – $5,800

The breakout was inevitable for rookie RB Antonio Gibson but the fact it came against a STOUT, and I mean STOUT, Ravens defense makes it oh so more impressive. The Rams are a better than average team against running backs for fantasy football purposes but that doesn’t quite worry me this week. Take the Giants game in week 4 aside (remember no Barkley) and the Rams allowed a 4.8 YPC to the position with an average of 3 receptions. Kyle Allen is set to start for the Washington Football team and if memory serves me right, Kyle Allen supported the RB1 of 2019 in Carolina. I think Juan Rivera brought Allen in for a reason, I think Haskins completely falling out of the depth chart(qb3 on the roster), has a lot to do with Allen and what they believe in him. Allen loves his running backs and I expect that to continue as Gibson looks to continue the breakout; this is your last week to jump on the Gibson wave.

WIDE RECEIVERS

Robby Anderson (@ ATL) – $6,200

My first stack attack of the DFS season and it’s a good one. If I told you DJ Moore or Robby Anderson, who would you rather start on your fantasy team? Never thought you’d think about that in 2020 but it’s a legitimate question. But, when you’re the teams WR1, yet cheaper than the 2nd option (yes, I am talking about Moore) you got to give me all the value. Anderson is a cool $400 cheaper than Moore and in a week where matchups are even across the board at the WR position, value like this is key. Anderson has attracted the 12th most targets (tied) in the NFL and has turned that into 377 yards (7th most) and 29 receptions (tied for 7th.) Atlanta, despite allowing the most points to QB’s, allow the 10th most points to the wide receiver position. Last week was a strange week offensively for Atlanta and they didn’t even blow a 4th quarter lead; however, I still expect the 53.5 point over/under to hit. If Anderson wasn’t getting volume, I’d get it, but he is so I fully expect 3x value from him in week 5.

GUT FEELING PLAYER

Evan Engram (@ DAL) – $5,500

I was very close to double downing on Kenyan Drake for back to back weeks but I decided to ride with Engram. If you’ve been keeping up, Barkley was my one miss this season on my GUT FEELING plays. I am double downing on a Giants player instead and that’s Engram. Engram has 6 career games against the Cowboys and has tallied up 37 catches and 4 touchdowns. Eventually this offense needs to get right and if not this week against a decimated Cowboys defense then when? Evan Engram will step up big in week 5 for the Giants scoring 2 TOUCHDOWNS! Returning more value than any other tight end in the main slate.
