Fanduel MLB Lineup Advice 6/10

[do_widget subscribe]

Well last night was kind of an awkward night in DFS, with usually reliable aces not performing up to snuff. If you didn’t have Votto or Stanton, you probably had a rough night. I was happy with my Carlos Correa pick though! Let’s hop into tonight’s picks.

Pitchers

Matt Harvey, NYM – $11,000

Yes, the price tag is remarkably steep, but Harvey is the only true ace for tonight’s slate and seems like the best bet for cash games. I’m personally staying away from him since I’m still bitter from Syndergaard’s stinker last night (bad rationale, I know), but Harvey’s home ERA is nearly half a point better at home, and the Giants bats can go dormant at any time. Also, I don’t think Tim Hudson is going to throw a no-no tonight, so the win potential is there.

Vincent Velasquez, HOU – $8,100

The White Sox are one of the lousiest offensive teams in the league thus far, with a measly .241 team batting average and only 207 runs scored (good for 28th in the majors). If you’re inclined to start a rookie pitcher, the best night to do it is his major league debut. Yes there’s a lot of risk with that logic, but also potentially a lot of reward with the lack of knowledge the batters have. The only batter that really scares me in the White Sox lineup is Jose Abreu, and the Astros rookie will have the righty-on-righty matchup there. Velasquez was masterful in the minors this season, and he should have the opportunity at a good amount of K’s and hopefully a win tonight.

Other options: Jered Weaver (LAA), Shane Greene (DET), Jesse Hahn (OAK)

Hitters

Carlos Santana, 1B (CLE) – $3,800

Pretty much all of Santana’s big stats have come against righties this season (8 doubles, 6 HR, 22 RBI), and Seattle’s Taijuan Walker is certainly prone to giving up big numbers. The Cleveland slugger has a good matchup in a hitter’s ballpark, and while the price isn’t quite where I’d like it to be, I think Santana is a great play Wednesday night. He usually bats second in the order behind Kipnis and ahead of Brantley and Moss, which DFS players have to love.

Xander Bogaerts, SS (BOS) – $2,600

If you’re going to fade Carlos Correa tonight, I recommend looking at the X-Man tonight at SS. Bogaerts is batting a cool .340 against lefties this season, and Wei-Yin Chen certainly isn’t a flamethrowing threat on the mound. There’s a lot of consistency with this pick and who knows, the young Red Sox shortstop may get you a dinger tonight.

Other options: Jose Altuve – 2B (HOU), A.J. Pollock – OF (ARI), Josh Reddick – OF (OAK)

Recommended Stacks

Astros righty hitters vs. Quintana (Altuve, Gattis, Carter, Correa)

Athletics hitters vs. Gallardo (Burns, Reddick, Vogt, Lawrie)

Diamondbacks hitters vs. Anderson (Pollock, Goldschmidt, Owings, Inciarte)
