Fantasy Football: GoingFor2.com’s Writer’s League Draft Results Rds. 11-15

Start from Rounds 1-5

Round 11
1. Antonio Gates(SD – TE) Don’t Get In…
2. Devontae Booker(Den – RB) JoshGordon a…
3. Kamar Aiken(Bal – WR) Run DeForest…
4. Karlos Williams(Buf – RB) BradB’s Boss…
5. Buffalo(Buf – DEF) Butters Boys
6. Markus Wheaton(Pit – WR) Michael’s Team
7. LeGarrette Blount(NE – RB) I Wanna Ertz…
8. Justin Forsett(Bal – RB) Brad R’s Team
9. Matthew Stafford(Det – QB) Zeke and Des…
10. Isaiah Crowell(Cle – RB) Le’Veon on a…
11. Pierre Garcon(Was – WR) The Professor
12. Philadelphia(Phi – DEF) Wentz Upon a…

Analysis: Five running backs come off the board in this round, and while none of them are eye-opening they all make for good 10th round picks. Well, except one, but we will get to that.

Winner: Brad R’s Team selection of Justin Forsett this late in the draft is an excellent one. He will be given the first crack at the starting job in B’more, and if he plays the way he did in 2014, he could be the steal of the draft.

Loser: BradB’s Boss Team took a flier on Karlos Williams at the fourth overall spot, but he has a few things working against him. 1) He is suspended for the first four games of the season. 2) Rumor is he came to camp out of shape and that he could be on the roster bubble. While I don’t believe they will cut him, I definitely wouldn’t feel good about drafting him.

Round 12
1. Connor Barth(NO – K) Wentz Upon a…
2. Zach Miller(Chi – TE) The Professor
3. Dorial Green-Beckham(Ten – WR) Le’Veon on a…
4. Corey Coleman(Cle – WR) Zeke and Des…
5. Travis Benjamin(SD – WR) Brad R’s Team
6. Josh Doctson(Was – WR) I Wanna Ertz…
7. Rashad Jennings(NYG – RB) Michael’s Team
8. Jameis Winston(TB – QB) Butters Boys
9. Jimmy Graham(Sea – TE) BradB’s Boss…
10. Matt Ryan(Atl – QB) Run DeForest…
11. Josh Gordon(Cle – WR) JoshGordon a…
12. Mike Wallace(Bal – WR) Don’t Get In…

Analysis:  I take my “Brady replacement” in this round with Matt Ryan. Three of his first four games are good matchups and he always starts the season strong — it’s how he ends it that pushed him to the Round 12. There are a lot of fliers, as you would expect, this late in the draft.

Winner: JoshGordon a Freeman When this draft happened, Josh Gordon had not been reinstated to the league yet, so once he was a few days later, this pick became a steal.

Loser: I Wanna Ertz You Up selects rookie WR Josh Doctson in this round, which a few weeks ago looked like a good pick. Now we are hearing he is dealing with an Achilles ailment, and apparently this injury so upset current Redskins GM Scot McCloughan that he injured his hand punching a wall when he found out. Jamison Crowder is the current favorite to win the No. 3 WR position, not Doctson.

Round 13
1. Kyle Rudolph(Min – TE) Don’t Get In…
2. Michael Thomas(NO – WR) JoshGordon a…
3. Eric Ebron(Det – TE) Run DeForest…
4. Kendall Wright(Ten – WR) BradB’s Boss…
5. Dwayne Allen(Ind – TE) Butters Boys
6. Jermaine Kearse(Sea – WR) Michael’s Team
7. Blair Walsh(Min – K) I Wanna Ertz…
8. Houston(Hou – DEF) Brad R’s Team
9. Derrick Henry(Ten – RB) Zeke and Des…
10. Martellus Bennett(NE – TE) Le’Veon on a…
11. Phillip Dorsett(Ind – WR) The Professor
12. Darren Sproles(Phi – RB) Wentz Upon a…

Analysis: Another round of non-descript high upside players. Nothing really stands out as a steal in this round.

Winner: JoshGordon a Freeman gets back to back victories with his selection of Saints rookie WR Michael Thomas. Now, I’m not saying that Thomas will be the second coming of Marques Colston but in that offense, with Drew Brees, he probably has the highest upside of all the players taken in this round.

Loser: Michael’s Team drafted Jermaine Kearse with his Round 13 pick. Kearse is most likely third on the WR depth chart behind Tyler Lockett and Doug Baldwin, he plays for a run heavy team, and they have a tight end named Jimmy Graham they paid a lot of money too. By my calculations, that leaves Kearse at best as the fifth option in this offense — and maybe sixth if you include Russell Wilson’s running ability.

Round 14
1. Nelson Agholor(Phi – WR) Wentz Upon a…
2. Shane Vereen(NYG – RB) The Professor
3. Tyrod Taylor(Buf – QB) Le’Veon on a…
4. Minnesota(Min – DEF) Zeke and Des…
5. Steven Hauschka(Sea – K) Brad R’s Team
6. Kenneth Dixon(Bal – RB) I Wanna Ertz…
7. Robert Griffin III(Cle – QB) Michael’s Team
8. Josh Brown(NYG – K) Butters Boys
9. Jeff Janis(GB – WR) BradB’s Boss…
10. Paul Perkins(NYG – RB) Run DeForest…
11. Jordan Howard(Chi – RB) JoshGordon a…
12. Cairo Santos(KC – K) Don’t Get In…

Analysis: Not much to analysis this far into the draft. Mostly kickers and defenses being taken and you never know what you are going to get with them.

Winner: Wentz Upon a Time went with back to back homer picks. You thought I wouldn’t notice huh Kellie? Nelson Agholor and Darren Sproles aren’t bad picks, I just wanted to call Kellie out for being a homer in a fantasy football draft.

Loser: BradB’s Boss Team selects Jeff Janis who “best case scenario” starts the season as the No. 4 WR, and word is he could be on the roster bubble. Even if he makes the team, he has a lot of depth chart climbing to do to even see the field. If he couldn’t be relevant with Jordy Nelson gone last year, he definitely won’t be relevant this year.

Round 15
1. Darren McFadden(Dal – RB) Don’t Get In…
2. Brandon McManus(Den – K) JoshGordon a…
3. Pittsburgh(Pit – DEF) Run DeForest…
4. Los Angeles(LA – DEF) BradB’s Boss…
5. Rishard Matthews(Ten – WR) Butters Boys
6. C.J. Spiller(NO – RB) Michael’s Team
7. Oakland(Oak – DEF) I Wanna Ertz…
8. Javorius Allen(Bal – RB) Brad R’s Team
9. Dan Bailey(Dal – K) Zeke and Des…
10. Marcus Mariota(Ten – QB) Le’Veon on a…
11. Ryan Tannehill(Mia – QB) The Professor
12. Jason Witten(Dal – TE) Wentz Upon a…

Analysis: And we close it out with Mr. Irrelevant going to Kellie and her surprisingly good pick of Jason Witten as the last pick in the 15th round.

Winner: No clear winner in this round

Loser: No clear loser in this round either
