Before diving into Week 10, let’s look at the results for Week 9’s streamers (Yahoo! scoring, 0.5 point PPR).
Quarterback: Derek Carr-14 points
Tight End: Logan Thomas-4.3 points
Team Defense: Houston Texans-4 points
It’s been a couple ugly weeks in a row, but hopefully you’re still reading. The Kansas City Chiefs, Atlanta Falcons, New York Jets and Dallas Cowboys are on a bye this week. Here are my quarterback, tight end and team defense streamers for Week 10.
Quarterback: Drew Lock, Denver Broncos at Las Vegas Raiders
For the second straight week Lock didn’t get going until the fourth quarter. But he got to good numbers against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 9 (313 yards, two touchdowns, one interception; 47 rushing yards and one touchdown). All six of his total touchdowns over the last two games have come in the fourth quarter, and he has a rushing touchdown in two of his last three games.
In Week 10 Lock gets a matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders, who are allowing the seventh-most fantasy points to quarterbacks (Yahoo! scoring). Four of the last five quarterbacks they’ve faced have topped 280 passing yards with multiple touchdowns through the air. The lone exception was Baker Mayfield in Week 8, in a game affected by wind in Cleveland. Three of the aforementioned four quarterbacks (Patrick Mahomes, Tom Brady, Justin Herbert) topped 320 passing yards against the Raiders, and three (Josh Allen, Mahomes and Brady) had rushing touchdowns against them.
Following Lock via live scoring updates on your fantasy app is bound to be a frustrating experience, let alone actually watching his scattershot play. But he’s putting up numbers when it’s all said and done, as he gets further removed from the shoulder injury that sidelined him earlier in the season. In the bottom line business that is fantasy football, in what could be a tough bye week for Mahomes and Matt Ryan owners, Lock is locked in as my top quarterback streamer for Week 10.

Tight End: Austin Hooper, Cleveland Browns vs. Houston Texans
Hooper missed Week 7 and Week 8 after undergoing an appendectomy, then the Browns had a bye in Week 9. So as fantasy owners have navigated injuries and bye weeks, dropping Hooper seemed to be a sacrifice. But this is the week to get back in.
Hooper returned to practice last week, so he seems sure to play Week 10 against the Houston Texans. After a slow start to the season Hooper posted double-digit PPR points in his last three straight games (23 targets over that span), with five catches and a touchdown or more than 50 yards in all three. The Browns also lost Odell Beckham Jr. to a torn ACL since Hooper last played.

The Texans are a bottom-10 fantasy defense against tight ends this season, as they’ve struggled to stop much of anything. Even if Hooper has his snap count limited in his first game back, which is possible, he’s lined up to succeed.
Keep an eye on Hooper’s practice participation as the week goes on, and be ready to pivot if for some reason he trends the wrong way for Sunday’s game. But I’m going with him as my No. 1 tight end streamer for Week 10.

Team Defense: New Orleans Saints vs. San Francisco 49ers
In the most surprising result of Week 9, the Saints’ defense stifled Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tampa Bay’s three points came in the fourth quarter, as the New Orleans intercepted and sacked Brady three times apiece. The Saints have eight sacks and four picks over the last two games, and they’re lined up to keep in rolling in Week 10.
The San Francisco 49ers’ were already thinned by injuries heading into Week 9, then COVID-19 concerns took away a few more players. They may get some people back in Week 10 against the Saints (Raheem Mostert, Brandon Aiyuk, Trent Williams). But Nick Mullens will still be the starting quarterback, with the possibility he struggles and gives way to C.J. Beathard.
It’s a decent week for team defense streamers again this week. The Saints were a late entry on my radar, but they get the nod for Week 10.
