Fantasy Football Week 11 Streamers: QB, TE and Team Defense

Before moving on to Week 11’s streamers, here’s a look at how Week 10’s streamers did (Yahoo! scoring, 0.5-point PPR).

Quarterback: Teddy Bridgewater-9.04 points
Tight End: Pat Freiermuth-3.6 points (fumble lost)
Team Defense: Tennessee Titans-6 points

Whenever I’ve had Bridgewater as my quarterback streamer, going back to last year, he always falls short. Lesson learned.

Onward and upward, here are my quarterback, tight end and team defense streamers for Week 11.

Quarterback: Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers vs. Washington Football Team

Newton came back to the Panthers ahead of Week 10, and while he didn’t start against the Arizona Cardinals he did make the most of his nine snaps with touchdowns on the ground and through the air. Now, he’s going to get first-team reps this week with the idea he’ll start Week 11 against Washington and former Panthers head coach Ron Rivera.

Washington held Tom Brady to 220 passing yards and intercepted him twice in Week 10. But they’re still allowing the most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks (24.2 per game; Yahoo! scoring), with bottom-10 figures in completion rate (67.4 percent) and yards per pass attempt (7.7) allowed.

Newton of course still adds something with his legs (12 rushing touchdowns with the Patriots in 2020), and Carolina has a full array of weapons with Christian McCaffrey back healthy. Rivera may have a secret plan to defend his former signal caller, but it won’t matter. Just make sure Newton is named the starter before streaming him.

Others To Consider: Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins at New York Jets; Justin Fields, Chicago Bears vs. Baltimore Ravens; Mac Jones, New England Patriots at Atlanta Falcons (Thursday night); Jimmy Garoppolo, San Francisco 49ers at Jacksonville Jaguars; Tyrod Taylor, Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans; Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars vs. San Francisco 49ers; Baker Mayfield/Case Keenum, Cleveland Browns vs. Detroit Lions

Tight End: Dan Arnold, Jacksonville Jaguars vs. San Francisco 49ers

Arnold posted at least 60 yards in a third straight game in Week 10 against the Indianapolis Colts (five catches for 67 yards), and he’s done so in four of five. In six games with the Jaguars, he has 60 or more yards on at least seven targets four times. Over the last three games, he has a 20.9 percent target share.

It’s not a great matchup for Arnold in Week 11, as the San Francisco 49ers are in the top-10 against tight ends (0.5-point PPR). They also haven’t ceded a lot of targets to the position (5.3 per game), but they’ve allowed a touchdown to a tight end in three of their last four games.

Arnold is a legit TE1 at this point, yet he is available in close to 75 percent of fantasy leagues. While his heavy involvement has made it impossible to rely on any of the Jaguars’ wide receivers, he’s the easy top tight end streamer for Week 11.

Others To Consider: Tyler Conklin, Minnesota Vikings vs. Green Bay Packers; Cole Kmet, Chicago Bears vs. Baltimore Ravens; Evan Engram, New York Giants at Tampa Bay Bucccaneers (Monday night); C.J. Uzomah, Cincinnati Bengals at Las Vegas Raiders; Pat Freiermuth, Pittsburgh Steelers at Los Angeles Chargers (Sunday night, check availability)

Team Defense: Miami Dolphins at New York Jets

Over their last two games, the Dolphins’ defense has allowed a total of 19 points with nine sacks and six takeaways. Week 9 against the Houston Texans could’ve been expected, but Week 10 against the Baltimore Ravens (on a short week) was not expected at all. Week 11’s matchup is on the Texans’ end of that spectrum.

The New York Jets are ceding the most fantasy points to opposing defenses (10.1 per game, Yahoo! scoring), and the shine is off Mike White after four interceptions in Week 10. Zach Wilson (right knee) may be able to return against the Dolphins in Week 11, but prior to his injury he was struggling. If the rookie can’t go, White will get another start.

The range of outcomes still feels high for Miami’s defense. But the matchup is just too good to ignore this week.
