Fantasy Football: Week 12 Buy Low, Sell High

Alright, GF2 fans, it’s time once again for my Buy Low, Sell High candidates for the week! The injury bug has more than likely bitten each and every one of your fantasy teams, so it’s time to start making some moves to compensate for your losses. Over the last few weeks, big names such as Julian Edelman and Justin Forsett have been lost due to injury. So, who should we try to buy low or sell high on? Well, guys such as Amari Cooper and Julio Jones are among the players who I am going to discuss in this article.

So, here’s my Buy Low, Sell High players for Week 12:

BUY LOW

Amari Cooper, Raiders WR

Cooper started his rookie campaign off in impressive fashion but has quickly fallen flat lately. In his first season with Oakland, he has caught 57 passes for 736 yards and four touchdowns. Most Cooper owners are more than likely scrambling after his Week 11 one catch for four yards effort, so let’s take advantage of that. Cooper has a nice fantasy football playoff schedule, facing off against secondaries such as the Chiefs and Chargers. A low ball offer for Amari could very well pay off for you in the long run because Derek Carr is playing out of his mind this season.

Blake Bortles, Jaguars QB

Since there have been a massive amount of injuries among fantasy quarterbacks this season, Bortles’ value is higher than ever in my opinion. In 2015, he has thrown for 2,623 yards, 20 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Bortles isn’t the most efficient quarterback, completing just 56.5 percent of his passing attempts, but he has found a way to make plays all season long. With players such as Peyton Manning and Ben Roethlisberger constantly being injured this season, the quarterback position is as thin as it’s ever been. Also, Bortles will face off against poor defenses in the Colts and Saints during fantasy playoff time.

Allen Hurns, Jaguars QB

Speaking of Jacksonville players, Hurns is also a player who I’m buying low on this week! This season, he has caught 44 balls for 716 yards and seven touchdowns. Hurns had a very unimpressive Week 11 TNF game that may have left a bad taste in the mouths of his owners. Like Bortles, he draws some very easy matchups over the next few weeks and could be an impact player for your squad. Why not try to go after this touchdown monster to help you win a fantasy championship!

SELL HIGH

Julio Jones, Falcons WR

So, Jones is by far one of my favorite fantasy football players of 2015! He’s been stellar overall and has actually helped a few of my teams to great records this year. In 2015, Jones has caught 89 receptions for 1,189 yards and six touchdowns. You may all be asking yourself why in the world do you have Jones on your sell high list? Well, here’s the thing, it’s been a great ride so far this season for Jones, but he has a sketchy fantasy playoff schedule. Two games versus the stingy Panthers defense with Josh Norman guarding him just doesn’t have me very confident in Jones. So, with that said, sell high on him while you still can!

Doug Martin, Buccaneers RB

Martin has absolutely revitalized his career in 2015! He looks leaner and faster than ever, making him an easy sell high candidate. This year, Martin has rushed 188 times for 941 yards and three touchdowns. The biggest problem that I see with Martin’s fantasy value is his lack of fantasy points when he gets less than 20 touches in a game. Every time this year he has failed to receive those 20 touches, he just hasn’t been productive at all. Facing a rough and tough defense like the Rams during your fantasy championship isn’t anything that I want to be a part of!

DeSean Jackson, Redskins WR

All of Jackson’s owners have been waiting all year for him to have a breakout game so that they can sell him high. Well, guess what? Week 11, Jackson caught 5 passes for 87 yards and a touchdown. For the season, he has only caught 10 receptions for 146 yards and one score. My advice is to sell Jackson high while you can before that next soft tissue injury comes knocking at his door! You’re most likely not going to get a whole lot for Jackson, but he could easily be a nice piece of a trade package for you guys.
