Fantasy Football Week 13 Streamers: QB, TE, Team Defense

As usual, before the unveiling of Week 13’s streamers let’s take a look at Week 12’s results (Yahoo! scoring, full-point PPR).

Quarterback: Baker Mayfield-24.58 points
Tight End: Ryan Griffin-10.3 points
Team Defense: Atlanta Falcons-5 points

Now, here are Week 13’s quarterback, tight end and team defense fantasy streamers.

Quarterback: Ryan Tannehill, QB, Tennessee Titans at Indianapolis Colts

Tannehill didn’t need pass volume to burn the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 12, as he went 14-for-18 for 259 yard and two touchdowns along with 40 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the ground. He has accounted for multiple scores in all five of his starts (multiple passing touchdowns four times) since stepping in for Marcus Mariota, with at least 18.9 fantasy points in all five contests.

Week 13 doesn’t look like a great matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. But over the last two weeks, Nick Foles (296 yards and two touchdown) and Deshaun Watson (298 yards and two touchdowns) had topped 290 yards through the air with multiple passing touchdowns against them. Overall this season six quarterbacks have topped 290 passing yards or had multiple scores through the air, with more than 18 fantasy points (Yahoo! scoring), against the Colts.

Tannehill is on a hot streak, going against a pass defense that’s trending the wrong way. Among a deep set of options to consider, the former first-round pick gets the edge for the top spot among quarterback streamers for Week 13.

Others To Consider: Baker Mayfield, Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers (check availability); Sam Darnold, New York Jets at Cincinnati Bengals; Nick Foles, Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers; Jared Goff, Los Angeles Rams at Arizona Cardinals; Jacoby Brissett, Indianapolis Colts vs. Tennessee Titans; Andy Dalton, Cincinnati Bengals vs. New York Jets

Tight End: Kyle Rudolph, Minnesota Vikings at Seattle Seahawks (Monday night)

Going into a Week 12 bye, Rudolph had a touchdown in three straight games (four touchdowns total) and four out of five. He topped 50 yards in just two of those five contests, but Week 13 presents an opportunity for an uptick there.

The Seattle Seahawks were a bottom-10 defense against tight ends entering Week 12, then they allowed 19 receptions for 123 yards to Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert last Sunday to push them into the bottom five against the position.

Rookie Irv Smith Jr. will get a share of targets from Kirk Cousins too, and in deeper leagues he could be considered as a streamer this week. But with his red zone role firmly cemented, Rudolph gets the edge among Vikings’ tight ends and among all tight end streamers for Week 13.

ESPN Ownership: 38.8%
Yahoo! Ownership: 47%

Others to Consider: Ryan Griffin, New York Jets at Cincinnati Bengals; Jack Doyle, Indianapolis Colts vs. Tennessee Titans; Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia Eagles at Miami Dolphins; David Njoku, Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers (check health status); Mike Gesicki, Miami Dolphins vs. Philadelphia Eagles; Noah Fant, Denver Broncos vs. Los Angeles Chargers

Team Defense: New York Jets at Cincinnati Bengals

The Jets’ defense had its streak with multiple sacks end at four games in Week 12. But they made up for it by holding the Oakland Raiders to three points, with two takeaways including an interception return for a touchdown.

The Cincinnati Bengals became an easy target to stream a defense against while rookie Ryan Finley was starting under center. Andy Dalton will get the starting job back this week, but that does little to diminish the fantasy stock of the Jets’ defense.

In Dalton’s eight starts prior to the Bengals’ Week 9 bye, an opposing defense posted at least seven fantasy points (Yahoo! scoring) six times and registered multiple sacks seven times while they scored 20 or more points just twice.

Only because it’d be virtually impossible to be less impressive than Finley was, Dalton’s re-installation as the starter does reduce the upside for the Jets’ defense this week. But there aren’t a lot of great streaming options, and the downside is simply non-existent.

ESPN Ownership: 23.8%
Yahoo! Ownership: 26%

Others To Consider: Carolina Panthers vs. Washington Redskins; Philadelphia Eagles at Miami Dolphins; Green Bay Packers at New York Giants; Kansas City Chiefs vs. Oakland Raiders
