Fantasy Football: Week 14 Cut’em or Keep’em

Alright, GF2 followers, it’s time once again for my Cut’em or Keep’em players for Week 14! Fantasy playoff time is officially here and I’m going to attempt to help you guys make some tough roster decisions. At this point in the year as an owner, you have zero room for mistakes, so let’s get together and make the right moves for your fantasy squad.

So, here’s my Cut’em or Keep’em players for Week 14:

John Brown, Cardinals WR

Brown is owned in 82.5 percent of ESPN fantasy football leagues this season. Brown is easily one of the fastest players in the league and he’s just so dang fun to watch! This season, he has caught 51 balls for 817 yards and four touchdowns. His numbers would be so much better if he wouldn’t have missed a few games due to a hamstring injury. The Cardinals have an easy fantasy playoff schedule, facing off against the Eagles and Packers, making Brown’s value even better. It also helps that veteran receiver Michael Floyd can’t stay off the injured list this year.

Verdict: Keep’em

Danny Woodhead, Chargers RB

Woodhead is owned in 85.3 percent of ESPN fantasy football leagues this season. Early this season, Woodhead was a solid go-to option at running back in PPR formats, but he’s just lost a bit of his luster lately. In 2015, he has rushed 71 times for 255 yards and two scores. Woodhead has also caught 55 passes for 593 yards and three touchdowns. The Chargers as a team are becoming more and more fantasy irrelevant each week that they take the field. With a looming matchup in Kansas City next weekend, I don’t see much fantasy value for Woodhead going forward.

Verdict: Cut’em

Julius Thomas, Jaguars TE

Thomas is owned in 78.5 percent of ESPN fantasy football leagues this season. Thomas signed a big deal with Jacksonville during the off-season but was injured during the preseason. So far this year, he has caught just 31 passes for 302 yards and four scores. With guys such as Rob Gronkowski and Jimmy Graham injured at tight end, the position is growing thinner each week. Also, the Jaguars have a super easy fantasy playoff schedule, facing off against the Colts, Falcons and Saints going forward.

Verdict: Keep’em

Ryan Tannehill, Dolphins QB

Tannehill is owned in 67.5 percent of ESPN fantasy football leagues this season. Coming into the 2015 season, I may have very well been the biggest Tannehill supporter. Unfortunately, I was completely wrong about the guy and regret ever drafting him in my leagues. This year, he has thrown for 3,079 yards, 21 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. In Week 13 versus the Ravens, we all expected a huge game versus one of the league’s worst secondaries, but he put up a real stinker of a game. Tannehill only threw for a measly 86 yards versus Baltimore and finally lost all trust from me.

Verdict: Cut’em

James Starks, Packers RB

Starks is owned in 69.9 percent of ESPN fantasy football leagues this season. After last week’s TNF debacle for the Packers’ running back Eddie Lacy, I see Starks being one of the most added players off of waivers for Week 14. This year, he has rushed 117 times for 444 yards and one score. Starks does a lot of damage on the receiving side of the ball, catching 35 passes for 337 yards and four touchdowns in 2015. It seems as if Lacy just doesn’t want to be a part of this Green Bay team and I think the coaching staff finally recognizes that, so Starks will be the major benefactor of this ongoing situation.

Verdict: Keep’em
