Fantasy Football Week 14 Streamers: QB, TE, Team Defense

Before the unveiling of Week 14’s streamers, here are the results from Week 13 (Yahoo! scoring, full-point PPR).

Quarterback Ryan Tannehill-13.78 points
Tight End: Kyle Rudolph-15 points
Team Defense: New York Jets-2 points

With the playoffs starting in a lot of fantasy football leagues, here are my quarterback, tight end and team defense streamers for Week 14.

Quarterback: Ryan Tannehill, Tennessee Titans at Oakland Raiders

Tannehill did not reach 25 pass attempts in a third straight game in Week 13 against the Indianapolis, but he was again efficient (17-for-22) with multiple passing touchdowns in three in a row in five of his six starts since taking over for Marcus Mariota. He has accounted for multiple touchdowns in all six of his starts, and I’m going back to the streamer well with Tannehill in Week 14.

The Oakland Raiders are allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season, including 8.2 yards per attempt and 27 touchdowns through the air. They have zero or one interception in 10 of 12 games, and seven quarterbacks have posted at least 19.5 fantasy points (Yahoo! scoring) against them.

Tannehill needs to be efficient to maximize his fantasy production, since he’s unlikely to threaten even 35 pass attempts in most games. But the Raiders offer little resistance, so Tannehill is my choice as the top streaming quarterback once again for Week 14.

ESPN Ownership: 21.4%
Yahoo! Ownership: 39%

Others To Consider: Jacoby Brissett, Indianapolis Colts at Tampa Bay Buccaneers; Jared Goff, Los Angeles Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks (Sunday night, check availability); Sam Darnold, New York Jets vs. Miami Dolphins; Ryan Fitzpatrick, Miami Dolphins at New York Jets; Kyle Allen, Carolina Panthers at Atlanta Falcons; Daniel Jones, New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles (Monday night)

Tight End: Jack Doyle, Indianapolis Colts at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

With Eric Ebron (ankles) out and some Colts wide receivers out for or leaving last Sunday’s game, Doyle had six receptions for 73 yards and a touchdowns (on 11 targets) against the Tennessee Titans. Now in Week 14, he gets a fantastic matchup.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are allowing the third-most fantasy points to tight ends (12.79 per game, Yahoo! 0.5-point PPR scoring), as they’ve allowed the third-most touchdowns (seven), the fourth-most yards per game (66.3) and eighth-most catches (5.3) per game to the position.

Doyle stretches the general 50 percent threshold to qualify as a streamer, but with about as good a matchup as it gets for a tight end he’s atop the heap of options for Week 14.

ESPN Ownership: 45.9%
Yahoo! Ownership: 58%

Others To Consider: Tyler Higbee, Los Angeles Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks (Sunday night); Mike Gesicki, Miami Dolphins at New York Jets; Kyle Rudolph, Minnesota Vikings vs. Detroit Lions; Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia Eagles vs. New York Giants (Monday night); Vance McDonald, Pittsburgh Steelers at Arizona Cardinals

Team Defense: Tennessee Titans at Oakland Raiders

The Titans defense held the Indianapolis Colts to 17 points in Week 13, with three sacks, three takeaways and a blocked field goal return for a touchdown on their way to 20 fantasy points (Yahoo! scoring). They have multiple sacks five straight games, while allowing 20 or less points in each of the last two. Those two elements are set to come together in Week 14.

Over their last two games, against the New York Jets and Kansas City Chiefs, the Oakland Raiders have scored a total of 12 points. Going back further, they’ve scored 20 points or less in four straight games as quarterback Derek Carr has zero or one touchdown pass in all four with less than 225 passing yards in three of those contests. The Jets and Chiefs each returned an interception for a touchdown.

The Titans are hitting the road to play in a tough environment on Sunday. But let’s not count that as a knock on the defense, with a high-floor, high-ceiling matchup to exploit as as streamer fantasy owners can’t let slip under the radar in Week 14.

ESPN Ownership: 31.7%
Yahoo! Ownership: 30%

Others To Consider: Green Bay Packers vs. Washington Redskins; Dallas Cowboys at Chicago Bears (Thursday night); New York Jets vs. Miami Dolphins; Indianapolis Colts at Tampa Bay Buccaneers; Houston Texans vs. Denver Broncos
