Fantasy Football Week 4 Streamers: QB, TE, Team Defense

Before the unveiling of Week 4’s streamers, let’s look back at Week 3’s results (Yahoo! scoring, 0.5-point PPR).

Quarterback: Gardner Minshew-10.20 points
Tight End: Dalton Schultz-6.8 points

Team Defense: Indianapolis Colts-26 points

Here are my quarterback, tight end and team defense streamers for Week 4.

Quarterback: Ryan Fitzpatrick, Miami Dolphins vs. Seattle Seahawks

“Fitzmagic” burnt the Jacksonville Jaguars via air (18-for-20, 160 yards, two touchdowns) and ground (38 yards, one touchdown) in Week 3. He has multiple passing touchdowns in back-to-back games, heading into a great Week 4 matchup.

The Seattle Seahawks have allowed the most passing yards in the league through three weeks-450 to Matt Ryan, 397 to Cam Newton and 472 to Dak Prescott. The net yardage in the official book is a little lower, but still quite literally historically bad. If not for the Atlanta Falcons, Seattle would be allowing the most fantasy points to quarterbacks so far this season.

A bad game is always lurking around the corner for Fitzpatrick. But in a thin week for top-end quarterback streaming options, a fantastic matchup in what’s lined up to be a shootout on Sunday puts him atop the heap here.

Others To Consider: Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals vs. Jacksonville Jaguars; Jared Goff, Los Angeles Rams vs. New York Giants (check ownership); Gardner Minshew, Jacksonville Jaguars at Cincinnati Bengals; Kirk Cousins, Minnesota Vikings at Houston Texans, Nick Foles, Chicago Bears vs. Indianapolis Colts; Philip Rivers, Indianapolis Colts at Chicago Bears; Ryan Tannehill, Tennessee Titans vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Tight End: Eric Ebron, Pittsburgh Steelers at Tennessee Titans

In Week 3 against the Houston Texans, Ebron had five catches for 52 yards and a touchdown on a team-high seven targets. Over the last two games he has eight receptions on 12 targets, with over 40 yards in both games (11.9 yards per catch).

In Week 4 Ebron gets a matchup against the Tennessee Titans. who have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to tight ends and a touchdown to the position in all three games. If Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson (concussion) misses the game, there’ll be some extra targets available.

Ebron is a solid overall waiver wire add this week. But focused strictly on streaming for Week 4, he gets the slight edge for me here as my top tight end.

ESPN Ownership: 29.1%
Yahoo! Ownership: 27%

Others To Consider: Dalton Schultz, Dallas Cowboys vs. Cleveland Browns; Mo Alie-Cox, Indianapolis Colts at Chicago Bears; Jimmy Graham, Chicago Bears vs. Indianapolis Colts; Drew Sample, Cincinnati Bengals vs. Jacksonville Jaguars; Chris Herndon, New York Jets vs. Denver Broncos (Thursday night)

Team Defense: Denver Broncos at New York Jets (Thursday night)

The Broncos have allowed 25 points per game over their last two games, and they’ve yet to top five fantasy points (Yahoo! scoring) in a game this season. But they do have at least one sack in all three of their games, and their Week 4 matchup is too good to ignore.

The New York Jets have been thinned by injuries at the skill positions, and now along the offensive line a bit more with Mekhi Becton dealing with a shoulder issue. Things can’t get much worse than they were in Week 3 against the Indianapolis Colts (three interceptions, two return touchdowns, seven points scored, two sacks and a safety). A short week before a Thursday night game leaves little chance for injury recoveries, but wide receiver Jamison Crowder (hamstring) reportedly has a chance to play after missing the last two games.

The Broncos have had some notable injuries themselves on the defensive side of the ball. But a fail-safe matchup makes them an easy choice as my top defense streamer for Week 4.

ESPN Ownership: 38.7%
Yahoo! Ownership: 37%

Others To Consider: Los Angeles Rams vs. New York Giants; Arizona Cardinals at Carolina Panthers
