Fantasy Football Week 7 Streamers: QB, TE, Team Defense

Before diving into Week 7’s streamers, let’s look at Week 6’s results (Yahoo! scoring, 0.5-point PPR).

Quarterback: Kirk Cousins-26.72 points
Tight End: Eric Ebron-1.9 points
Team Defense: Miami Dolphins-15 points

Here are Week 7’s quarterback, tight end and team defense streamers.

Quarterback: Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

In Week 5 against the New Orleans Saints, Herbert set a season-low with 264 passing yards. Of he course he also threw four touchdown passes, and topped 20 fantasy points for the third time in his four starts. He’s lined up to keep it going coming out of a bye in Week 7.

The Jacksonville Jaguars held Matthew Stafford in check last week (223 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT). But they are still in the bottom half of the league in fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks, and all five prior to Stafford threw for 300 yards or had multiple touchdowns through the air. Three of those five had more than 24 fantasy points (Yahoo! scoring).

Herbert’s Week 6 bye held down his ownership rates. That just makes him a streaming candidate for one more week, and my top quarterback streamer for Week 7.

ESPN Ownership: 59%
Yahoo! Ownership: 59%

Others To Consider: Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lions at Atlanta Falcons (CHECK OWNERSHIP); Teddy Bridgewater, Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints; Gardner Minshew, Jacksonville Jaguars at Los Angeles Chargers; Derek Carr, Las Vegas Raiders vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Sunday night); Carson Wentz, Philadelphia Eagles vs. New York Giants (Thursday night, check ownership); Daniel Jones, New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles (Thursday night); Kyle Allen, Washington vs. Dallas Cowboys; Andy Dalton, Dallas Cowboys at Washington

Tight End: Logan Thomas, Washington vs. Dallas

Thomas had a touchdown among his three catches for 42 yards against the New York Giants. He does have at least four targets in all six games this year though, and he’s back on the radar looking to Week 7.

The Dallas Cowboys are only out of the bottom-10 of the league against tight ends because they faced the little-used set of tight ends the Arizona Cardinals deploy in Week 6. In their first five games, seven tight ends posted at least seven PPR points (full PPR) against them.

Thomas has a decent chunk of the target pie in Washington, and they’re facing a dreadful Cowboys’ defense on Sunday. In a fairly thin week for tight end streamers, that’s enough.

ESPN Ownership: 10.1%
Yahoo! Ownership: 14%

Others To Consider: Ian Thomas, Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints; Richard Rodgers, Philadelphia Eagles vs. New York Giants (Thursday night, check Dallas Goedert‘s status); Eric Ebron, Pittsburgh Steelers at Tennessee Titans; Anthony Firkser, Tennessee Titans vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (check Jonnu Smith‘s status); Dalton Schultz, Dallas Cowboys at Washington

Team Defense: Philadelphia Eagles vs. New York Giants (Thursday night)

The Eagles’ defense has posted three or fewer fantasy points in four of six games so far, including allowing 30 or more point three times (less than 27 points just once). They have at least three sacks in three of their last four games though, heading into a nice matchup in Week 7.

The New York Giants have scored 16 or less points in five of their six games. Week 6 against Washington was the first game Daniel Jones was not sacked multiple times, but he’s still averaging 1.67 turnovers per game while taking 2.8 sacks per contest.

The Philadelphia defense has become strictly being a fantasy streamer. Week 7 against the Giants is a week to get on board.

ESPN Ownership: 15.9%
Yahoo! Ownership: 32%

Others To Consider: Los Angeles Chargers vs. Jacksonville Jaguars; New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles (Thursday night); Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos; New Orleans Saints vs. Carolina Panthers; Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals; Dallas Cowboys at Washington
