Free NBA DFS DraftKings Lineup Help and Advice 1/4/16

Saturday was a terrible night in the NBA. Very few players hit value, and it was one of the lowest scoring nights in recent memory, but Draymond Green went into superhero mode and saved our cash lineup:

Point Guards

Shane Larkin- $4,400 vs. BOS

Research helps quite a bit when making NBA lineups, but there is no better tool than simply watching the games, whether that be on League Pass or on NBA.com play-by-play. Watching games allows you to notice trends such as players minutes and usage rates. If you ever watch the Nets play, Larkin will stick out as an awesome bench player, and super fun to watch. Jarrett Jack is done for the year with a Torn ACL, so Larkin is the logical replacement in Jack’s absence. When Larkin gets around 30 minutes, he is extremely valuable, he just needs to get some playing time and with Jack’s injury, Larkin and Wayne Ellington should see extended minutes. http://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2015/12/4/9852286/shane-larkin-nets-knicks

Ish Smith $6,900 vs. MIN

Ish Smith has been awesome for the Sixers since coming over from New Orleans. Since the trade, Philly has won 2 games, and had won just 1 in their past 29 contests. Vegas predicts MIN-PHI to score 209 combined points which is the 2nd highest on the slate besides SAC-OKC. This game makes for a great, low-owned stack(Rubio, Towns, Wiggins, Ish, Noel). It should end up going down to the wire, and maybe even OT, so the starters should see a ton of minutes and fantasy points in this contest.

Shooting guards

Andrew Wiggins- $6,400 @ PHI

Last time the Timberwolves played the 76ers, Wiggins had an incredible game, scoring 32 points, grabbing 6 rebounds, and dishing out 3 assists. Wiggins and Towns have been Minnesota’s entire offense recently, and it doesn’t look like that’s going to change any time soon. Rubio, Garnett, and Teyshaun Prince provide very little scoring, so KAT and Wiggins have to pick up the slack on offense. Wiggins is averaging 32 DK points/game over his last 4, and has his best match up of the season tonight in Philly.

Small Forwards

Gordon Hayward- $7,500 vs. HOU

The Jazz are dead last when it comes to pace of play, yet Gordon Hayward has managed to stay fantasy relevant this year, and average 38 DK points/game in his last 5 games. James Harden really likes to push the pace for the Rockets, so hopefully it will give the Jazz a few more offensive possessions throughout the game. With Burks, Gobert, and Favors out, Trey Burke and Hayward are basically the entire offense for the Jazz, which is great for their fantasy value.

Power Forwards

Draymond Green $9,900 vs. CHA

Green graced the cover of our last article and sure did live up to the hype. Green had 86.8 DK points last game out against the Nuggets! With Curry most likely out again tonight, Green is almost a lock in cash games. Draymond has 2 triple-doubles in his last 2 games, and if Curry is out again tonight, there’s no reason he won’t have another tonight. With Curry out, this game should actually play close, and Draymond should see a lot of minutes as he tries to lock up the starting PF spot on the West All-Star team.

Centers

Jeff Withey- $4,300 vs. HOU

Withey has proven he can be a legitimate starter in this league when given minutes. With Gobert still out, Withey has been getting a ton of minutes and is making the most of them. Over his last four games as the starter Withey has averaged 32.3 DK points/game(That’s more than Greg Monroe in his last 4 games). Withey is somehow only $4,300 on DraftKings, and been consistently scoring 30+ DK points each game, can’t say no to Withey at $4,300.

Andre Drummond- $9,400 vs. ORL

This is my favorite match up of any big name player tonight. Nikola Vucevic has been struggling on defense recently, check out  some of the numbers the big men he has guarded have produced the last few games(Brook Lopez, Gortat, Whiteside). There should be no reason that Drummond gets less than 20 rebounds tonight in an excellent match up against Orlando. It’s too bad you can’t use three centers on Draftkings, because a lineup with Withey, Brook Lopez, and Drummond tonight would be deadly.
