Point Guards
Mario Chalmers– $4,600 vs. DEN
In the Grizzlies last outing against OKC, Chalmers had the best night of his career, scoring 23 points, dishing out 9 assists, and grabbing 8 rebounds(off the bench, I might add). Mike Conley is listed as doubtful for tonight’s game, and if he sits out, Chalmers should play around 35-40 minutes again tonight. The Grizzlies traded for Chalmers earlier this year for this exact situation: When Conley is hurt, Chalmers can fill in as a more than competent replacement. $4,600 is way too cheap for a player who had 52 DK points just last game.
Kyrie Irving– $6,900Â @ MIN
Our apologies for forgetting to mention Kyrie Irving in our last few articles. Even with a minutes restriction, Kyrie has been on fire in his last few games. Irving scored 32 points in just 34 minutes last game against Washington and 25 against Toronto in 29 minutes. When you look at his numbers from the last few games one stat jumps out: His shot attempts. Irving took 22 shots against the Wizards and 16 against the Raptors. David Blatt will be monitoring his minutes closely, but if he shoots the ball 20 times in the short time he’s out there, he is extremely valuable at $6,900.

Shooting Guards
Klay Thompson– $8,000 @ POR
There are not a lot of great options to choose from at the shooting guard spot tonight, and when that is the case, it’s best to just pay up at that position. Vegas predicts the O/U on the GS-POR game at 215 combined points, which is the highest of any game on Friday, so Klay should see a lot of opportunities to score. He is averaging 45.75 DK points over his last four games, and Curry hasn’t looked 100% healthy as he’s dealing with a shin injury. With not many options to choose from tonight at shooting guard, we suggest paying up for Klay or DeRozan tonight.

Small Forwards
Shabazz Muhammed- $3,800 vs. CLE
Do you know how many teams have called Minnesota, asking to trade for Shabazz Muhammed? 29 teams…because Shabazz is an extremely talented, young small forward. Vegas has the spread on the CLE-MIN game tonight at Cavs -10, and with Kyrie Irving back, the Cavaliers should win by more than just 10. The Wolves don’t have the talent quite yet to compete with Kyrie, LBJ, and K-Love. Cleveland should win this game in a blowout, which means plenty of garbage time minutes for Shabazz. Coach Sam Mitchell has given Shabazz a lot more playing time recently, and he has played extremely well. If you watch the T-Wolves play, you will notice a weird trend with Shabazz’s minutes. Muhammed plays in garbage time, but he also is on the floor during crunch time in the 4th quarter. Very few players have that kind of flexibility in minutes.
Paul George– $9,100 @ NO
The Pelicans defense is officially the worst in the league…Dallas benched 4 starters last game and still beat New Orleans by 9. A team of JaVale McGee, J.J. Barea, Raymond Felton, and Dwight Powell were able to beat Anthony Davis and the Pelicans by almost double-digits! And don’t forget the Pelicans just traded their 2nd best player away in Ish Smith(That’s not even a joke). Teams score an average of 106.2 points/game against the Pelicans, which is the 2nd most in the entire NBA. Paul George has been streaky this season, but nobody on the Pelicans’ roster can defend PG13, and Alonzo Gee will most likely be tasked with guarding him, which is an excellent match up.

Kristaps Porzingas- $6,400 @ SA
Last time Porzingas played the San Antonio, the 20-year-old played just 24 minutes, but somehow still logged 13 points, 14 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 2 steals, which is an incredible stat line for playing just 1/2 the game. Using previous games against the opponent to gauge how a player might do can be an excellent strategy to make lineups. Porzingas should see around 35 minutes tonight if he can stay out of foul trouble. Kristaps will bring his A-game against the Spurs tonight, the Knicks believe they can beat a team like the Spurs, and want to prove to the rest of the NBA, they are legitimate playoff contenders.
“The Sleeper Pick”- Ed Davis

Brook Lopez– $7,900 vs. ORL
The Nets played Orlando just four games ago and Lopez had his best outing all season, scoring 25 points and grabbing 15 boards. Jarrett Jack is now done for the season with a torn ACL, so the Nets are scrambling to find offense, and Lopez is basically all they’ve got. Lopez has been playing even better than usual since Jack got hurt, and he has a great matchup against Nikola Vucevic tonight. Vucevic has been an awesome fantasy player this season, but on defense, he is almost a liability to the Magic. Vegas predicts the Magic to win by only 4, so the starters should see most of the minutes tonight, and Lopez could easily score 60 again tonight at home against Orlando.
Jusuf Nurkic– $4,800 @ MEM
Nurkic had 41.5 DK points in just 22 minutes against the T-Wolves on Wednesday. Nurkic played great for the Nuggets coming off the bench, providing instant offense for Denver. Nurkic just came back from injury, so he is on a minutes restriction of ~20. Playing players on a minutes restriction is pretty risky, so only use Nurkic in GPP, not cash games. Nurkic only costs $4,800 and has huge upside, very sneaky GPP play.
