*Updated* Free NBA DFS Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis 11/13/15

Well, it’s been awhile since I’ve been able to do a full-blown NBA Fanduel column, but what a night to do it. Tonight’s slate is huge and there is a ton a value. So amid all the controversy over whether of not our game is legal or not, we’ll just keep chugging along until they shut us down. For first time readers, here is the format…

Game Winner My Game Winner will be my top play for the position. I’ll be using a combination of the matchup, recent performances, history against the current opponent and my gut to make my choices for the top play.

Dunk A Dunk is a second or third tier player with the highest upside and is someone who should give you the highest return on investment (ROI)

Half-Court Shot Otherwise known as a “punt play.” This player will be at, or near, minimum salary, but is someone I believe has a chance to greatly outperform the salary.

Pass A player deemed a Pass is someone whom I’m doing just that. Passing on him. This is a top-tier player that I’ll be avoiding for various reasons. The matchup, price, recent performances, or just a gut feel are a few things I’ll take in an account.

So let’s get started…

NBA DFS Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis for 11/13/15

Point Guard

Game Winner Russell Westbrook, Thunder $11200

Free nba dfs fanduel lineup 11/13/15This one is pretty much a no-brainer. With Kevin Durant expected to miss about a week, Westbrook becomes the top play every night until Durant is back.

Dunk Rajon Rondo, Kings $6800

Don’t look now, but Rondo is back. He has posted two triple-doubles in the last three games and seems to be thriving in the George Karl system. Tonight, he gets the Nets, a team who struggles against the point guard position.

Half-Court Shot T.J. McConnell, 76ers $5000

McConnell won’t score much but gives you good assist numbers and can grab five-plus rebounds a game. He is playing a ton of minutes and should be able to rack up enough fanduel points to reach value.

Pass Isaiah Thomas, Celtics $6900

Marcus Smart is back in the lineup after missing a few games with a toe injury so that alone hurts Thomas’ value, but if you factor in the Hawks good defense versus the point guard position, I won’t have Thomas in any of my lineups.

Shooting Guard

Game Winner DeMar DeRozan, Raptors $7500

Free nba dfs fanduel lineup 11/13/15It would be easy to pick James Harden and call him my top pick, but in terms of getting the most bang for your buck I’m going with DeDe at shooting guard. Harden is $10,000 and would need to get you 50 fanduel points to reach value, something he is more than capable of, but that’s to reach value, meaning he’d need to get more to exceed it. DeDe however only needs to get you 37 and against one of the worst teams (Pelicans) in defense versus the shooting guard position, he should have no trouble getting that mark and exceeding it.

Dunk Eric Gordon, Pelicans $5800

Ranking right behind the Pelicans in defense versus shooting guards is the Toronto Raptors. This game could turn into a shootout as neither team plays much defense, and with Anthony Davis expected to be out again, Gordon will carry the offensive load.

Half-Court Shot Marcus Thornton, Rockets $4800

What’s not to love? He had 40 his last time out, despite the return of Terrence Jones, the Nuggets aren’t a very good defensive team, and Nuggets like to push the pace, giving Thornton plenty of opportunities to put up big numbers.

Pass C.J. McCollum, Trailblazers $6400

McCollum has tapered off recently and a matchup with the Grizzlies won’t help him get his mojo back.

Small Forward

Game Winner LeBron James, Cavs $10200

free nba dfs fanduel lineup 11/13/15James makes his first appearance in my column so far this year with a matchup against the Knicks in New York. He loves to play in the big city and always saves his best for Madison Square. He had 43 fanduel points in one game last year, which isn’t a lot until you consider it was a 90-87 game. The other game in New York was a blowout in which he didn’t play the whole game. This Knicks team is good enough to hang with the Cavs, forcing The King to put up huge fantasy numbers.

Dunk Gordon Hayward, Jazz $6600

Hayward had been in a slump for the entire season until last night against the Heat, and I expect him to continue being hot. He is one of those players who will string a bunch of good games in a row before laying a few duds. Jump on his hot streak now with a plus matchup against the Magic.

Half-Court Shot Omri Casspi, Kings $4300

A total punt here but here has been getting good minutes and producing good fantasy numbers. He gets plus matchup with the Nets tonight that is bottom 10 versus the small forward position.

Pass Andrew Wiggins, Timberwolves $7200

Hasn’t been the player he was last year, and until he starts to show that he is that player or until his price comes down, no thanks.

Power Forward

Game Winner Paul Millsap, Hawks $8500

free nba dfs fanduel lineup 11/13/15He is .1 point away from having four straight 40-plus fanduel point performances, and even though the Celtics are decent in guarding the power forward spot, Milsap is still going to get his 40.

Dunk Kristaps Porzingis, Knicks $5600

He has proven to be a better rebounder than I think he was given credit for, grabbing 12 or more rebounds in five of his last six games. When you add that he is a scoring threat with the 3-point range coupled with nonexistent Kevin Love defense, he gets my value of the night tag.

Half-Court Shot Luis Scola, Raptors $4600

Scola has quietly become a force to be reckoned with in fanduel and at $4600 he is still a great value.

Pass None

All the top guys are viable tonight.

Center

Game Winner DeMarcus Cousins, Kings $102000

Free nba dfs fanduel lineup 11/13/15Well, the little scuffle with George Karl didn’t affect Boogie in the least, and Karl went from wanting to suspend Cousins for two games to giving him. A season high in minutes played on Wednesday night. Go figure. The Nets don’t defend the center position very well and Boogie should dominate.

Dunk Jahil Okafor, 76ers $6700

The Thunder are actually very good at defending the center position, but his price tag, and his usage dictate a spot on this column.

Half-Court Shot Zaza Pachulia, Mavericks $5500

His price tag is pretty good for a guy nearly averaging a double-double thus far on the season…Oh yeah, and he is playing the Lakers.

Pass Nikola Vucevic, Magic $7700

Vucevic is on this list simply because beat reporters expect the Magic to be cautious with him and his knee injury, potentially limiting his minutes.

The 6th Man

(additional players I like)

PG Kyle Lowry, Raptors $8500

SG James Harden, Rockets $10000

SG Lou Williams, Lakers $5200

SG Paul George, Pacers $9100

PF Kevin Love, Cavs $8000

Al Horford, Hawks $7700

Thanks for checking out the NBA DFS Fanduel column for 11/13/15, good luck tonight.

*Update*

Okay, I’m posting three lineups today. One is my Westbrook cash game lineup (the one with Rondo), one is a Westbrook studs/duds lineup, and one is a “fade Westbrook GPP only” lineup. Good Luck
