**Updated** Free NBA DFS Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis 11/20/15

Fresh off a light slate on Thursday we have a nice sized 11 games on tonight’s docket. As I write this, my lineups for tonight are doing decently, hopefully, that trend continues.

I have a little bit of news to share. Over the next few days, I will be adding a spreadsheet that uses some advanced algorithms to rank players from best to worst. This is not a lineup generator or an optimizer, it simply takes raw data and spits out a “Power Ranking” so to speak. I’ll give you some more details once I get it set up. This spreadsheet is run by a third party that is separate from GoingFor2, and there will be a small fee to get access to it, but the results speak for themselves.

Now back to your regularly scheduled program…

Game Winner My Game Winner will be my top play for the position. I’ll be using a combination of the matchup, recent performances, history against the current opponent and my gut to make my choices for the top play.

Dunk A Dunk is a second or third tier player with the highest upside and is someone who should give you the highest return on investment (ROI)

Half-Court Shot Otherwise known as a “punt play”. This player will be at, or near, minimum salary, but is someone I believe has a chance to greatly outperform the salary.

Pass A player deemed a Pass is someone who I’m doing just that. Passing on him. This is a top-tier player that I’ll be avoiding for various reasons. The matchup, price, recent performances, or just a gut feel are a few things I’ll take in an account.

So let’s get started…

NBA DFS Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis for 11/20/15

Point Guard

Game Winner Russell Westbrook, Thunder $11700

NBA DFS Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis for 11/20/15This might be the last night we get to use Westy without Kevin Durrant, as Durrant is expected back as early as Sunday against the Mavericks.

Dunk Brandon Knight, Suns $7500

Knight came back to earth after his 70 fanduel point explosion against the Lakers, putting up 29.6 against the Bulls, but the Nuggets are not the Bulls defensively. I’m not going to predict 70 again, but 40 is attainable.

Half-Court Shot Ish Smith, Pelicans $5600

Originally I put Tony Parker in this spot, because, you know, “Start the point guard vs the Pelicans”, but then I thought about it. This game will most likely turn into a blow-out so I doubt Parker plays much, whereas Smith will get a ton of minutes, including junk time.

Pass Damian Lillard, Blazers $9000

As I write this, the Clippers and Warriors are just about to tip-off and Chris Paul is expected to be in the starting lineup, so I don’t know how effective he’ll be, but even if he is 85 percent he can slow Lillard down. Lillard will still get his, but he won’t get the 40 point mark to reach value.

Shooting Guard

Game Winner Jimmy Butler, Bulls $8000

NBA DFS Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis for 11/20/15Butler only played one game against the Warriors last year, so there isn’t a lot of recent history to look at. Derrick Rose‘s status is still up in the air but if he sits I like Butler even more. The Warriors are going to push the pace like they always do, and the are prone to turnovers, Butler could get 4 or 5 steals in this one.

Dunk C.J. McCollum, Blazers $6500

For as much as I don’t like Lillard tonight, I like McCollum against either J.J. Redick or Jordan Crawford. Neither of those two plays defense and if Austin Rivers get the start, a better defender, McCollum is still good enough to get the best of him.

Half-Court Shot Will Barton, Nuggets $5200

I had him as a “Pass” for yesterday’s slate due to the Spurs factor. Tonight he is back on my radar. His relatively off night in San Antonio kept his price down somewhat, and that makes him the biggest value on tonight’s slate.

Pass Klay Thompson, Warriors $6400

Thompson has not been the player he was last year thus far, and on a slate this large, there are better options.

Small Forward

Game Winner Nicolas Batum, Hornets $7000

NBA DFS Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis for 11/20/15The top four guys at this position all have good matchups and I could have gone with any of the four. I settled on Batum because his price is the lowest, but he could easily put up equal or better numbers as the other three.

Dunk Danilo Gallinari, Nuggets $6900

This should end up with the highest O/U of any game on tonight’s slate and I want as much exposure to the offensive players as I can get. Gallinari is always a risk, but he has a high ceiling.

Half-Court Shot Jae Crowder, Celtics $5200

I feel like I have Crowder in this spot a lot. He is pretty consistent across the board, and he leads the league in steals which helps pad his stats. A good matchup with the Nets means he should have no issue reaching value.

Pass Gordon Hayward, Jazz $6500

His price has not fallen far enough to match his production. Until that happens, or until his production gets better, I will be avoiding him.

Power Forward

Game Winner Derrick Favors, Jazz $8300

NBA DFS Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis for 11/20/15Favors will be in a lot of my lineups tonight. The Mavericks, thanks to old man Dirk Nowitzki, are horrible against the power forward position. Favors should easily have a double-double in this one and chip in a few blocks and steals to make him my top play of the night.

Dunk Serge Ibaka, Thunder $6900

Raise your hand if Ibaka burned you last time out against the Pels? My hand is firmly in the air. As a Pels fan, I watched that game from beginning to end, and it he just didn’t seem to be in the game. He spent a lot of his time standing on the perimeter content to watch Westbrook do his thing. Expect him to bounce back here.

Half-Court Shot Thaddeus Young, Nets $6300

Okay, so he isn’t cheap enough to technically be as “H-CS”, but he has just been too good to not feature him here. He has had 47, 37, and 40 in his last three games. If you really need a cheaper punt, look at Markieff Morris as $5400.

Pass Pau Gasol, Bulls $7800

This game won’t be played at the pace that benefits Gasol. Looking at some of his game logs, and he has had sub-par games against fast-paced, smaller teams, including his last game against the Suns.

Center

Game Winner Marc Gasol, Grizzlies $7500

NBA DFS Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis for 11/20/15The Rockets do not defend the center position very well, ranking bottom three over the past three weeks. Gasol hasn’t been great so far this year, but that won’t be the case tonight.

Dunk Karl-Anthony Towns, Timberwolves $7100

Could the Rookie of the Year award go to a Timberwolf two years in a row? The way KAT has played thus far, it is definitely a possibility. The Pistons defend the PF position well, but so do a lot of the teams he has faced and it hasn’t mattered.

Half-Court Shot Andrew Bogut, Warriors $5200

I’m not sure what the Warriors will do with Bogut on the second game of a back to back, but they might need him to play tonight to match the Bulls’ size. He is back in the starting lineup and he can be relevant without scoring as he is one of the best passing big men in this league and a monster on the boards.

Pass Dwight Howard, Rockets $8100

Two games in the low 20’s over his last three games, his value is dependent on rebounding, but the Grizzlies are one of the better rebounding teams in the league.

That wraps it up for tonight. I’ll post my lineup at some point tomorrow. Sign up below to have my lineup emailed to you at 4 pm.
