LOL DFS – LPL Value Meter (4/14/20)

Holy crap my hands are dry as hell. But these Value Stacks are wet (wet is good where I’m from) and I’m ready to let ’em rip. Not so fast tho, first things first I need to at least mention what I am going to be talking about. I’m going to be talking about two value stacks on tomorrow’s LOL DFS slate for DraftKings and FanDuel. And since the slate only has 3 series coming out of the LPL tomorrow that means that these value stacks will help you differentiate from the competition which we all know is something DFS revolves around. So let’s cut the crap and get to work!

Value Stack #1: Rogue Warriors (+325 underdogs)

Rogue Warriors get a tough matchup tomorrow versus JDG (9-4) who is currently riding a 4-series win streak. But don’t think that even for a second that is going to phase me. Why? Well because this Rogue Warriors team has been playing out of their mind recently with wins in 3 of their last 4 series over heavyweights like RNG (8-6), VG (6-8) & BLG (5-9). And they have been doing this on the back of a brand new jungle (Haro) who was forced back into action after their starter, WeiYan, was suspended for 2-years for match-fixing.

Well don’t worry because that’s behind the Rogue Warriors and now they are looking even stronger with the aggressive play that Haro has given them in the jungle. And when I say aggressive i mean freaking AGGRESSIVE as he has totaled a whopping 71 total kills in his last 4-series total. That’s been good enough to get him over the century mark (100 DraftKings Points) in each of his last 3-series with the 4th being a 98.8 DraftKings Point performance which ain’t bad at all.

But it’s not just Haro who is performing well as Zwuji, their ADC, has dropped double-digit kills in 3 of his last 4 series as well. This was highlighted by a whopping a 19 kills in Rogue Warriors recent 2-1 upset over RNG. And I also have to mention that they went with a different mid lane as well as Ruby was finally replaced after multiple poor performances in a row. His replacement was Wuming who managed an impressive KDA of 7/6/33 in only 2 games! And that was good for a whopping 95.8 DraftKings points which means he can be looked at in the MVP spot on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Now look, JDG is a solid team and they have very solid talent in Loken (ADC), Yagao (MID), Kanavi (JNG), Zoom (TOP) & LvMao (SUPP). And yes I know they just swept IG 2-0, but honestly that showed more about the weakness of IG on this patch as BLG exposed them even further in the series after. Winning 4-series in a row is a tough feat for any team and I believe the streak is going to end tomorrow as Rogue Warriors pull off the upset.

DFS Plays: ZWuji (ADC), Haro (JNG), Wuming (MID), Ley (SUPP)

Value Stack #2: Suning (+185 underdogs)

Suning mathematically still has a shot at playoffs, even with a 5-9 record, which means that tomorrow’s series vs Vici Gaming is going to be crucial. Now I know Suning is a bit tough on the eyes as they have lost a whopping 6 of their last 7 series after a 4-3 start. But, the talent is still there with this roster and if their last match is any indication, they still have a valid shot at making a semi-valiant playoff run.

I mean not really as they will need to win out and every other team in contention will need to lose everything but hey like I said they still mathematically have a shot even if it is 0.0001%. But back to the talent as this team is filled with stars like – SofM (64.1 DKP per series), Huanfeng (80.2 DKP per series), Angel (72.6 DKP per series), Bin (41.0 DKP per series)/ BiuBiu (57.9 DKP per series) and SwordArt (50.7 DKP per series).

Now notice the discrepancy in the top lane? You can see Bin averages around 16.9 DKP less than BiuBiu which I believe could be the answer here for Suning. BiuBiu plays more team oriented picks like Ornn while Bin plays assassins like Akali. Sure Bin can impress when Suning is in a snowball victory but he can also be a huge liability as Suning is currently 1-4 when he starts. And what about when BiuBiu starts? Suning is 4-5 when BiuBiu starts which is why I personally am hoping we see a swap in the top lane when starting lineups are announced for the LPL.

But before I finish this article out I need to touch on Suning’s opponents tomorrow which would be Vici Gaming who currently sits in 11th place in the LPL with a 6-8 record. Vici has been in strong form as of late beating FPX by a series score of 2-1. However, the issue with Vici as of late is their inability to put teams away as they have played all 3 games in each of their last 5 series in a row. And as we all know, more games played for our DFS players = more points. I mean sure you get the 20 point bonus on DraftKings when they don’t play the third game but you would rather have the opportunity for your players to play that game because 20 points is only enough for around 4 kills and 4 assists with no deaths and no cs which is a crappy game to say the least.

I’m going all in on Suning tomorrow as they will need to win desperately to keep their playoff hopes alive and their talent is far superior in my eyes. Guys like Angel, Huanfeng and SofM should come up big as Suning upsets Vici Gaming tomorrow.
