MLB FanDuel Gut Feeling 8/1- Evening Edition

Last night was a rough night in the 50/50s.  While a score in the 30’s normally gets it done, with the high scoring of last night’s games you needed to be in the upper 40’s to have a shot.  But that’s how it goes sometimes.  I’m back at it again with my 7pm lineup:

Pitcher: Dallas Keuchel: $10,500
Keuchel has been shaky in two of his past three starts but those were both on the road.  He’s back at home where he’s normally dominant.  Although Arizona has some firepower, I think the Astros continue their winning ways tonight.

Catcher: Matt Wieters $2,800
As always, check your lineup right before first pitch to make sure Wieters is active as he’s known to be a late scratch from time to time.  In the games he has played in he’s on a four game hit streak.  With $100 left in cap space with this lineup I have a few options in case he doesn’t play tonight, Yan Gomes being my main option.

First Baseman: Chris Davis $4,000
I was also looking at Freddie Freeman here but Davis’s hot streak against right handed pitchers is still going and I’m going to stick with it.  Hopefully another home run is in the cards for tonight’s game.

Second Baseman: Kolten Wong $2,900
Wong has two hits in each of the first two games in this four game set with the Rockies.  He is 0-3 lifetime against the Rockies starter tonight but that won’t deter me from keeping Wong out of my lineup.

Third Baseman: Miguel Sano $2,800
Mariners pitcher Mike Montgomery has an ERA of 7.09 in his last four starts.  Sano has a hit in his last seven games.  This should be an interesting matchup between two young players.  Sano is my Ultimate Gut Call.

Shortstop: Francisco Lindor: $3,000
Lindor has five hits in his last three games and the Indians have won the first two games in Oakland.  A lot of unknowns with Aaron Brooks making his first start for the A’s so this game could be more high scoring than the past two in this series.

Outfielder: Preston Tucker $3,300
Tucker gets another crack at right handed pitching tonight, whom he bats .304 against.  Don’t be surprised if Tucker has a big game.

Outfielder: Adam Jones $2,900
With homers in his last two games, Jones along with Davis have been carrying the Orioles offense. That trend should continue tonight.

Outfielder: Ryan Rua $2,400
Until last night, Rua had at least 3.5 points in each of his past four games, but it’s understandable to have a rough game against Bumgarner.  Tonight’s pitcher for the Giants in Heston is a good pitcher as well, but Rua should be able to start a new hit streak tonight.

Confidence Level: 4 out of 5
Let’s get back on track in these 50/50s tonight.  Good luck everyone!
