NASCAR DFS FanDuel DraftKings Lineup Advice: Pocono Picks 6/3/2018

As expected, Kyle Busch won last week’s Monster Energy Cup Series race at Charlotte. Busch not only won the pole but completely dominated the race, leading 377 out of the possible 400 laps in NASCAR’s longest race of the year going 600 miles. This week, NASCAR travels to Pocono Raceway, a triangular track(three tricky turns) which is 2.5 miles long.

My Top 4 Drivers for the Pocono 400

Ryan Blaney (DraftKings $8700, Fanduel $10000):  If there was ever a week to pick Ryan Blaney, this is the race to start him with confidence.  He won last year’s June race in an exciting duel to the finish against Kevin Harvick, to earn his first ever Monster Energy Cup victory.  This week, his mastery of Pocono continued, winning the pole position for this race.

Kevin Harvick (DraftKings $11600, Fanduel $13500):  Harvick had a horrible race last week by crashing early, ending his hot streak.   He was due for a regression in results.   Harvick is also a master at Pocono, with six Top 10’s in his last seven starts.  Four of these Top 10’s were 2nd place finishes.  His car is performing well this week, as he earned the start in the 2nd position.

NASCAR DFS FanDuel DraftKings Lineup 6/3/2018

Brad Keselowski(DraftKings $9800, Fanduel $11000):  Keselowski has won this race back in 2011. He is very consistent at this track. His last five starts are all in the Top 5: 5th, 5th, 2nd, 3rd, and 2nd. He is still looking for his first win of the year, to qualify for the playoffs.

Erik Jones(DraftKings $8700, Fanduel $9700):  The young driver only has two starts at Pocono Raceway but the results are very solid.  He placed an impressive 3rd place behind Blaney and Harvick in last year’s June race and followed it up with an 8th place finish in the July race.  His car was the fastest in the 2nd practice on Saturday, so look for him to score a Top 10 this weekend.

Others to Consider

Chase Elliott(DraftKings $9300, Fanduel $10100):  Elliott is due to get his first victory ever in the Monster Energy Cup.  His record at Pocono is decent, he has three Top 10’s in his only four starts at Pocono.   His highest finish at this track is 4th place in June 2016.

Martin Truex(DraftKings $10900, Fanduel $11200):  Truex Jr. won this race in June 2015.   In last year’s races at Pocono, he performed very well, scoring a 3rd place finish in the July race, and a 6th place finish in the June race.  Truex Jr. and his team are quietly building momentum as he has finished 2nd, 2nd, and 4th in his last three Cup races.
