NASCAR DFS: Lineup Advice for Bucked Up 200 at LVMS

NASCAR DFS

The NASCAR DFS triple-header is kicked off on Friday night with the Bucked Up 200 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. There are some highly priced drivers starting near the rear, making position differential points likely key to taking down a GPP or hitting in cash builds.

We’re going to take a quick look at who the best highly-priced plays are as well as some safe values for the first race of 2021 on the west coast of the United States.

NASCAR DFS: Highly-Priced Drivers

Kyle Busch: #51 | Kyle Busch Motorsports – Toyota | $15,000

Any time Kyle Busch makes a start in the NASCAR Truck Series, he is going to possess a ridiculously high price tag, and it’s for good reason. In his last three Truck Series starts in his hometown, the younger of the Busch brothers won all three events and lead a whopping 273 laps.

He’s going to cost you, so my exposure will be limited.

Austin Hill: #16 | Hattori Racing Enterprises – Toyota | $11,000

Austin Hill is my favorite play of the highly-priced drivers for Friday night’s race. The reasoning for this is because Hill has been the series’ best driver on intermediate tracks since joining Hattori Racing Enterprises in 2019. In his last three races at LVMS, he has two wins and a third place finish.

He’s also lead 68 laps in his last six races at the track. He starts the race directly behind the aforementioned Busch on Friday evening, meaning both will have ample opportunity to collect the always important position differential points! You can save considerable money by dropping down to Hill from KB.

Zane Smith: #21 | GMS Racing – Chevy | $10,600

Zane Smith has not posted the finishes he likely would have hoped to so far in 2021. Things have a great possibility to turn around however as the series makes its first stop at Las Vegas. The GMS team in general is fast at this venue, and Smith was great on 1.5-mile tracks in 2020.

His average finish was 6.9 if you don’t count a rare DNF at Homestead. Smith too will start near the rear when the green flag flies — 32nd to be exact. He’ll hope to follow Busch and Hill to the front.

NASCAR DFS: Mid-Range Drivers

Brett Moffitt: #45 | Niece Motorsports – Chevy | $9,200

Brett Moffitt is starting races for various Truck Series teams in 2021 as he runs full time in the Xfinity Series. This weekend, he’ll be in the former truck of Ross Chastain. It’s a truck we have seen have success many times before and it’s likely to have a good showing again on Friday.

Moffitt barely makes the cut of a mid-range driver in terms of pricing at $9.2k, as the cutoff is $9,500. He starts the race from the 17th starting position and should be able to find his way into the top-10. In his last six starts at Las Vegas, he has lead 58 laps, posted two top-5’s and three top-10’s along the way.

Grant Enfinger: #98 | Thor Sport Racing – Ford | $8,800

Thor Sport Racing’s Grant Enfinger is a driver I expect to go overlooked for Friday night’s race at LVMS. That could bode well for you however when it comes to constructing your lineups for the event. Enfinger has posted one win, two top-5’s and three top-10’s in his last six starts at the track since 2018.

He has also lead 46 laps over that span.

Tanner Gray: #15 | DGR – Ford | $7,000

Tanner Gray is another one of my favorite plays for Friday night, and is my top play of the mid-range Truck Series’ drivers.

Pricing in at just $7k and having finished of 3rd and 7th at this track last year, it appears Gray will have a solid opportunity to score some bonus points as he takes the green flag from 22nd at the start.

Value-Play Driver

BJ McLeod: #34 | Reaume Brothers Racing – Chevy | $5,300

There’s really no a ton of viable stats to go off of here that warrants putting BJ McLeod into your lineups ahead of Friday night’s race. At a price tag of just $5.3k, he does have the appeal of moving up considerably compared to other drivers near is price point that are generally considered “start-and-parks.”
