NBA DFS DraftKings Picks 8/18/2020

THE STAR

Anthony Davis ($10,400)

I’ll start off by saying that it killed me to not put James Harden here. Harden is a beast with a 40+% usage rate without Westbrook, but the $11,700 price tag makes it just enough for it extremely hard to make a quality line up. Anthony Davis has owned the Blazers all year. 2 of his last 3 games against them were a 78 and a 63 in terms of DraftKings scoring. I’m making Anthony Davis my star for the fact that its a great matchup and he has absolutely destroyed the Blazers this season.

THE MID-RANGE

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ($6,900)

Nba DFS DraftKings 8/18/20

I am not sure how popular this one will be, however SGA is so fast and this matchup will play well to his abilities. Its huge pace up spot for the Thunder, also 5 more possessions quicker in this matchup. SGA vs the Rockets has only toped 40 points once. I get if you dont like this one when looking on paper, but I think most of the ownership will go to CP3 in this matchup, so grabbing a guy like SGA who is slightly cheaper could be a great lower owned play.

THE VALUE

Goran Dragic ($4,400)

Nba DFS DraftKings 8/18/2020

Goran Dragic is about 1k under priced in my opinion. In his 3 matchups vs the Pacers this season he put up 34, 24, and 28 DraftKings points. He’s cheap hell make alot of stuff work even if he gets you 28-35 that’s an exceptional value at his price tag. Minutes have been up for him recently with the banged up Heat, most of them are healthy now so he could see a minute cut. Gorab Dragjc is an great role player and I think he’ll be a big part of the Heats success these playoffs!
