NBA DFS FanDuel Advice for 3/16/17

What’s up, GF2 fans! I’m back with my free NBA DFS FanDuel advice for the 3/16/17 slate of games. Thursday’s main slate will consist of a solid six-game schedule. I still see plenty of solid plays to choose from, especially on the value side. In this article, I’m going to give you guys a couple of nice plays to roll with for each position, so let’s get started!

Point Guard

Top Play: Chris Paul, @ DEN ($9,800)

Paul is easily one of my favorite overall plays for Thursday’s main slate of games! Los Angeles will see a nice bump in pace at Denver, which greatly improves Chris’ value. So far this year, the Nuggets have allowed an average of 51.9 FD points per outing to opposing point guards. This season, Paul has managed to average an explosive 43.2 FPPG for his loyal owners. This year, he’s averaging 18.0 points, 5.1 rebounds and 9.3 assists and 2.1 steals in 31.2 minutes per game for the Clippers.

Value Pick: Jeremy Lin, @ NYK ($5,900)

Lin draws a bit of a revenge game for this slate, heading into Madison Square Garden to face his old Knicks squad. So far this season, he’s managed to average a solid 28.2 FPPG for his DFS owners. This year, Lin is averaging 14.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 4.9 assists in 23.3 minutes per game for the Nets. This season, New York has given up an average of 45.9 FD points per contest to opposing point guards.

Shooting Guard

Top Play: Klay Thompson, vs. ORL ($7,000)

Like always, the shooting guard spot is rather thin, so paying for Klay could be a decent option for Thursday night. So far this year, he’s averaging 21.9 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 34.0 minutes per game for the Warriors. This season, Thompson has managed to average a cool 32.8 FPPG for his owners. This season, the Magic have allowed an average of 40.8 FD points per outing to opposing shooting guards.

Value Pick: Caris LeVert, @ NYK ($4,400)

I’m really hoping that the Brooklyn coaching staff will give this guy a real shot for this slate! Over his last two games, LeVert has scored 29+ FPPG for his owners and draws a decent matchup for Thursday evening. So far this season, the Knicks have given up an average of 42.4 FD points per contest to opposing shooting guards. I can see my man LeVert receiving around 25 minutes for this slate, which will hopefully, lead to an awesome value play.

Small Forward

Top Play: Carmelo Anthony, vs. BKN ($8,400)

Carmelo hasn’t played extremely consistent for New York this year but he will still shoot a ton of shots regardless. Over his last two games, Anthony has scored 41+ FPPG for his owners and draws a tasty matchup for this slate. So far this year, the Nets have given up a league-worst 47.5 FD points per outing to opposing small forwards. This season, Anthony has averaged 22.8 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 34.2 minutes per game for the Knicks.

Value Pick: Terrence Ross, @ GSW ($4,100)

Ross’ price tag just keeps on slowly declining but for good reason. He just hasn’t been good as of late but is due for a break out game for Orlando. So far this season, Ross has averaged 10.5 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.0 steal in 23.6 minutes per game for his squad. This year, he’s managed to average a decent 18.8 FPPG for his owners. This year, the Warriors have allowed an average of 40.6 FD points per outing to opposing small forwards.

Power Forward

Top Play: Draymond Green, vs. ORL ($8,300)

I’m on board with playing Nikola Jokic for this slate but wouldn’t fault you for saving money and rolling with Green. So far this season, Draymond has averaged 10.3 points, 8.0 rebounds and 7.1 assists in 32.5 minutes per game for the Warriors. This year, Green has managed to average a smooth 38.3 FPPG for his DFS owners. Over their last five games, the Magic have given up an average of 54.9 FD points per outing to opposing power forwards.

Value Pick: Aaron Gordon, @ GSW ($5,600)

The Orlando guys will receive a monstrous jump in pace for this slate, making most of their starters fantasy relevant for Thursday evening. Over their last five games, Golden State has given up an average of 51.8 FD points per contest to opposing power forwards. So far this year, Gordon has managed to average a consistent 23.0 FPPG for his owners. This season, he’s averaging 11.8 points and 4.8 rebounds in 27.5 minutes per game for the Magic.

Center

Top Play: Nikola Vucevic, @ GSW ($7,700)

Like I said above, Orlando’s guys will receive a nice boost in value due to a fast-paced game environment. So far this season, the Warriors have allowed an average of 47.4 FD points per contest to opposing centers. This year, Vucevic has averaged 14.6 points, 10.1 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 28.4 minutes per game for the Magic. This season, he’s managed to average a cool 35.2 FPPG for his owners.

Value Pick: Jonas Valanciunas, vs. OKC ($5,600)

Valanciunas has been killing it for value as of late and should be in your lineups for this slate. In three of his last four games, he’s scored 35+ FPPG for his owners and should do well versus the Thunder. So far this year, Oklahoma City has given up an average of 45.5 FD points per outing to opposing centers. This season, Valanciunas has averaged 12.2 points and 9.6 rebounds in 26.1 minutes per game for Toronto.

Well, those are my NBA DFS value plays for the 3/9/17 slate of games. Hopefully, with my advice, you guys will prosper on Thursday night. Thanks for reading and good luck, everyone!
