NBA DFS FanDuel Advice for 3/30/17

What’s up, GF2 fans! I’m back with my free NBA DFS FanDuel advice for the 3/30/17 slate of games. Thursday’s main slate will consist of a solid five-game schedule. I still see plenty of solid plays to choose from, especially on the value side. In this article, I’m going to give you guys a couple of nice plays to roll with for each position, so let’s get started!

Point Guard

Top Play: Ricky Rubio, vs. LAL ($7,700)

Yes, guys such as Damian Lillard and Chris Paul are great plays but I love Rubio even more for Thursday evening! So far this year, he’s managed to average an explosive 32.2 FPPG for his loyal owners. This season, Rubio is averaging 10.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 8.9 assists in 32.3 minutes per game for the Wolves. In two of his last three games, Rubio has scored 41+ FPPG for his owners. Over their last five games, the Lakers have allowed an average of 59.8 FD points per outing to opposing point guards.

Value Pick: Ish Smith, vs. BKN ($5,300)

If Reggie Jackson sits out once again for Detroit, then fire Ish up for another slate because the matchup is tasty! So far this season, the Nets have given up an average of 52.3 FD points per contest to opposing point guards. This year, Smith has managed to average a cool 21.6 FPPG for his DFS owners. This season, he’s averaging 8.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 5.0 assists in 23.3 minutes per game for the Pistons. Over his last two starts, Smith has scored 30+ FPPPG for his owners.

Shooting Guard

Top Play: C.J. McCollum, vs. HOU ($7,200)

Most will insert James Harden into the top play for this slate but I’ll save some cash and play my man C.J. instead. So far this year, McCollum has averaged 23.3 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 34.5 minutes per game for the Blazers. This season, he’s managed to average a super solid 36.2 FPPG for his loyal owners. This year, the Rockets have allowed an average of 43.2 FD points per outing to opposing shooting guards. You just can’t go wrong with inserting McCollum into your lineups for Thursday night.

Value Pick: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, vs. BKN ($4,700)

We are going to find plenty of value on the Detroit side of the ball for this slate of games due to their nice matchup. So far this season, the Nets have given up an average of 43.8 FD points per outing to opposing shooting guards. The Pistons are still playing for playoff positioning so they’ll be ready to play their starters a ton for this one. This year, Caldwell-Pope has managed to average a decent 25.3 FPPG for his owners. This season, he’s averaging 14.1 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 33.2 minutes per outing for Detroit.

Small Forward

Top Play: Jimmy Butler, vs. CLE ($10,000)

Wow, have the Cavaliers been bad on the defensive side of the ball as of late, especially LeBron James! So far this year, Cleveland has allowed an average of 43.1 FD points per contest to opposing small forwards. This season, Butler has managed to average a massive 43.6 FPPG for his DFS owners. This year, he’s averaging 23.3 points, 6.2 rebounds and 5.4 assists in 36.4 minutes per game for the Bulls.

Value Pick: Marcus Morris, vs. BKN ($4,900)

Like I said earlier, most of my value plays are going to be coming from Detroit guys for this slate. I don’t usually like to utilize them but on a small slate it’ll end up being a must. So far this season, Morris has managed to average a nice 25.2 FPPG for his loyal owners. This year, he’s averaging 14.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 32.5 minutes per outing for the Pistons. This season, the Nets have given up a league-worst 47.5 FD points per outing to opposing small forwards.

Power Forward

Top Play: Julius Randle, @ MIN ($6,700)

I love this game from a fantasy perspective because it will be fast-paced with a ton of scoring more than likely. So far this year, the Wolves have allowed an average of 43.3 FD points per contest to opposing power forwards. This season, Randle has averaged 13.0 points, 8.7 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 29.0 minutes per game for the Lakers. This year, he’s managed to average a smooth 31.3 FPPG for his DFS owners.

Value Pick: Gorgui Dieng, vs. LAL ($5,200)

Dieng is easily one of my favorite overall value options for this entire slate due to his juicy matchup versus Los Angeles. So far this season, the Lakers have given up a league-worst 48.8 FD points per contest to opposing power forwards. This year, Dieng has averaged 10.0 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 32.0 minutes per game for the Wolves. Over his last three starts, Gorgui has scored 32+ FPPG for his owners.

Center

Top Play: Jusuf Nurkic, vs. HOU ($6,500)

With guys such as Karl-Anthony Towns and DeAndre Jordan taking the floor for this slate, there are plenty of solid center options. Well, I personally will be paying down for Nurkic at a super cheap price tag. In his last start, Jusuf went off for 33 points, 16 rebounds and three blocks in 33 minutes versus the Nuggets. I could easily see him putting up a similar stat line on Thursday night against a lackluster Houston defense. So far this year, the Rockets have allowed an average of 50.0 FD points per outing to opposing centers.

Value Pick: Ivica Zubac, @ MIN ($4,400)

If you’re looking for an even cheaper center option for this slate, give Zubac a look against Minnesota. He’s finally seeing a few more minutes for Los Angeles, playing 21+ in three of his last four games. He’ll be facing off against a Wolves defense who has given up an average of 46.4 FD points per outing to opposing centers this season. In three of his last four games, Zubac has scored 21+ FPPG for his loyal owners.
