What’s up, GF2 fans! I once again have some NBA DFS FanDuel value plays for you guys. We’ll be blessed with a monstrous 12-game slate on Wednesday night that will be packed full of DFS excitement. I’ve already had some nice success this week over on FanDuel and fully expect to help you all win some cold hard cash for this slate. Like always, all of my value picks with be at or under $6,000.
So, here’s my NBA DFS FanDuel advice for 2/10/16:
Point Guards
Emmanuel Mudiay, vs. Pistons ($5,600)
Mudiay has been playing great for Denver lately! Over his last three games, he has averaged a solid 31.7 FD points per night and draws a stellar matchup for this slate. He’ll be facing off against a treacherous Detroit defense, who has allowed an average of 48.5 FD points per contest to opposing point guards this year. I don’t know what’s going on with this Pistons defense as of late but I’m for sure going to take advantage of it on Wednesday night!
Archie Goodwin, vs. Warriors ($5,400)
When looking at great value plays, I always check usage rates for players. With guys such as Brandon Knight and Eric Bledsoe on the sideline for Phoenix, Goodwin has seen a huge increase of minutes over the last month. Over his last four games, he has played some great basketball, averaging 30.3 FD points per contest for the Suns. He’ll be going head-to-head with a Golden State team, who has allowed an average of 56 FD points per night over their last five games. This game will most likely end in a blowout, but the Suns don’t have a lot of options at point guard, so Goodwin will still see plenty of minutes.
Shooting Guards
Rodney Hood, vs. Pelicans ($5,800)
Hood is one of those kind of players that I hate to start for DFS but just can’t turn him away every single night. He draws an epic matchup for this slate of games against a dreadful Pelicans defense, who has allowed a league-worst 44.3 FD per contest to point guards this season. So far this year, Hood has averaged a cool 22.8 FD points per game and should be available to take advantage of this awesome matchup.
J.R. Smith, vs. Lakers ($5,500)
Smith is a lot like Hood, meaning that he’s a streaky shooter who is always a boom or bust candidate for DFS. The Cavaliers will most likely blow out the Lakers on Wednesday night, so I’m hoping Smith will see a little more court time with the big three receiving some rest in the second half. Over his last two games, Smith has looked explosive for Cleveland, averaging 31.6 FD points per night. This season, the Lakers have been one of the league’s worst defenses overall, giving up an average of 42.4 FD points per contest to opposing shooting guards.
Small Forwards
Jeff Green, vs. Nets ($5,600)
With the news of Marc Gasol being out for an extended period of time with a fractured foot, a lot of Memphis players will have to step it up in his absence. This season, Green has been a solid contributor for the Grizzlies, averaging 21.2 FD points per game. He’ll be taking on a subpar Brooklyn defense, who has allowed an average of 43.6 FD points per night over their last five outings. Between Green and Matt Barnes, I feel like one of these two guys will be a big benefactor from the Gasol injury.
Stanley Johnson, vs. Nuggets ($4,900)

Johnson has really impressed me since KCP was injured a week ago. Over his last three games, he has averaged a cool 29.8 FD points per contest and draws a great matchup for this slate. Johnson is coming off a lackluster game against Toronto, but we’re not going to count that one since they are great versus small forwards defensively. This year, Denver has been one of the worst defenses on the planet, giving up an average of 40.6 FD points per contest to opposing small forwards.
Power Forwards
Myles Turner, vs. Hornets ($5,700)
Turner has officially become the next big thing in Indiana! Most fellow DFS players have already jumped on his bandwagon and if you haven’t you probably should too for this slate. His price tag is slowly creeping up above my value play level, so he won’t be playable for much longer. Over his last 10 games, Turner has scored at least 21 FD points per night, so he’s ultra-consistent. He’ll be facing off against a beat up Hornets team, who has allowed an average of 47.1 FD points per contest to opposing power forwards this year.
Jerami Grant, vs. Kings ($5,000)
This may be the first time I’ve ever talked about Grant in any of my articles but he’s caught my attention lately. Over his last three games for the Sixers, he has averaged a solid 26.9 FD points per night and will look to continue his great play against a bad Kings defense. Over their last five games, Sacramento has given up a dreadful 55.2 FD points per night to opposing power forwards, so Grant could have another sneaky good night for DFS owners.
Centers
Nikola Jokic, vs. Pistons ($5,900)
Jokic was extra hot just a week ago but has quickly cooled off since he has seen fewer minutes over his last two games. I’m hoping for a bounce-back game for this guy against a horrible Detroit defense. Over their last five games, the Pistons have given up a monstrous 62.3 FD points per game to opposing centers, so I’ve got hope in Jokic. This season, Jokic has been a nice DFS play, averaging 21.9 FD points per contest.
