NBA Fanduel Line-up Advice and Analysis for 4/15/15

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 4/15/15
NBA Games for 4/15/15

Today is a biter sweet day. On one hand, we have a huge slate of games to build some great Fanduel line-ups, but on the other hand, it’s the last day of the regular season. Before DFS I looked forward to the start of the NBA playoffs. We will still get some 4 game slates through the first round, so all is not lost.

Today will be a hard day to figure out. Who is going to play and who isn’t? In today’s post I’m going to attempt to pick all my good plays from guys that either still have something to play for, as in playoff seeding or just making the playoffs period, and guys that haven’t had much to play for for a long time, as in teams not making the playoffs. The teams with seeds locked up I’m avoiding like the plague.

I’m writing this while the Wizards/Pacers is still on, and my line-up for today is very heavy on late gamers, so I have no idea how I’m doing at the moment. Hopefully I’ll have reason to stay up and watch the late game. I’ve been throwing down pretty heavy the last few days since the season is coming to a close.

Let’s kick off the Top Ten…

Today’s Top Ten Plays

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 4/15/15
Rudy Gobert

10) C Rudy Gobert $9100 Gobert falls into the “nothing to play for” category, and he hasn’t had much to play for for quite awhile. Houston does have something to play for, as they are tied with the Spurs. Utah would love to go out and beat the Rockets, forcing them into a lower seed, and Gobert will be at the center of it. No pun intended.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 4/15/15
Brook Lopez

9) C Brook Lopez $8500 As of right now, the Nets have a slim chance to make the playoffs, and to keep their slim hopes alive they need to win this game. The Magic would love to play spoiler to keep the Nets out. Brook Lopez has cooled off a bit over his last 2 games, but I expect him to be huge tonight. Not only is he playing to make the playoffs, he is also playing to increase his free agent value, which is at an all-time high. A big game in a big spot would go a long way to that big payday.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 4/15/15
Reggie Jackson

8) PG Reggie Jackson $8300 Two teams with nothing to play for could mean very little defense. Then again, it’s Knicks versus Pistons, they haven’t played much defense all year. I expect Jackson to go out with a bang. He hasn’t been as good lately as he was when Monroe was out, but he is still capable of getting 40+ tonight.

Elfrid Payton

7) PG Elfrid Payton $7900 Had Payton played the first half of the season the way he played the second half, he would have at least been runner-up for ROY. In the Fanduel world, I’d venture to say he could have won it outright. He hasn’t played well lately, but he will want to spoil the Nets playoff run, I also think there is a chip on his shoulder that he didn’t even get one vote for ROY. The Nets struggle guarding the point, as Deron Williams is far from a lock down defender.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 4/15/15
Enes Kanter

6) C Enes Kanter $7400 Talk about something to play for, the Thunder need to win this game and hope the Spurs beat the Pelicans, otherwise they are out. Those 2 games will be going on at the same time, so they won’t know their fate ahead of time. Minnesota doesn’t have a lot of healthy bodies, and Kanter should be able to dominate. I expect a strong double double from him tonight.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 4/15/15
Andrew Wiggins

5) SF Andrew Wiggins $7600 I’m sure this wasn’t the season Wiggins would have hoped for in terms of team success, but winning the ROY award is a nice consolation prize. Another great consolation could be sending Westbrook and the Thunder home for the playoffs. The Wolves have been playing teams tough, despite not having anything to play for, and I expect Wiggins to do everything in his power to spoil the Thunder’s summer.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 4/15/15
James Harden

4) SG James Harden $11000 Harden and the Rockets had a disappointing run in the playoffs last year, and Harden was a big reason they lost. He just wasn’t very good. Tonight it’s all about seeding, they can be anywhere from the 2 or as far down as the 6th seed(pending Clippers game, that’s just getting started). Harden has something to prove and will put this game on his shoulders. Anything less than 55 will be a disappointment.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 4/15/15
Anthony Davis

3) PF Anthony Davis$11800 This is the biggest game of Anthony’s professional career. It’s very simple for them, win and you’re in. They smartly rested Jru Holiday in the last game, as they’ll need him tonight. Tyreke has done a admirable job running the point, but he is better as an attacking player. Having him run the point limits Davis’s offensive game. Jru on the other hand will get the Pels into good offensive sets, and Anthony Davis will dominate.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 4/15/15
Kawhi Leonard

2) SF Kawhi Leonard $8400 Expect Leonard to be everywhere tonight. The defensive player of the year will have to showcase his offensive game  for the Spurs to have a chance to win. Duncan will be nullified somewhat by Anthony Davis and Parker just doesn’t have enough to carry this team anymore. As a Pelicans fan, I hope I’m wrong, but as a DFS player, I expect Kawhi to be huge.

NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 4/15/15
Russell Westbrook

1) PG Russel Westbrook $12600 He is pretty much a must start. Against the Wolves defense, Westbrook could have 90 Fanduel Points tonight. He may break his own field goal attempt mark that he just set a few games ago. He could shoot it 50 times tonight! Though I don’t really think he’ll break 80, 65 is definitely plausible. Get him in your lineup. Period.

Honorable Mentions

  • PG Michael Carter-Williams $7400
  • PG Deron Williams $6800

Dunks of the Night

  • SG Tony Parker $5200 A must win game and a good matchup, though not as good as it was, now that Jru Holiday is back in the line-up.
  • PG Ray McCallum $5200 Nothing to play for for either team, could be a good stack game with all the value here. Stacking this game will allow you to afford the big boys.
  • SG Robert Covington $5400 Plays better as a starter than off the bench. Make sure he starts.
  • SF Omri Casspi $5300 Another cheap option from this game.
  • PF Tarik Black $4800 Are you sensing a theme here?
  • PF Ryan Kelly $4700 How bout now?

Passes of the Night

  • PG Steph Curry $10000 No reason to play this game.
  • SG Klay Thompson $7300 Ditto.
  • PG John Wall $9500 Doubt he plays, and if he does, he’ll play limited minutes.
  • SF Lebron James $10800 See John Wall

Punts

  • PG Ramon Sessions $4900 Only if Wall sits.
  • SG Ben McLemore $4600 Stack this game.
  • SG OJ Mayo $4600 Could play more minutes with the Bucks locked in.
  • SG Jabari Brown $3900 Seriously stack it.
  • SF Otto Porter $3900 Doubt Pierce plays tonight.
  • PF Derrick Williams $4300 I don’t think I’ve mentioned enough guys from this game yet.
  • C Bismack Biyombo $4600 Why not?

This wraps up the final regular season post. I may have to come up with a new format for the playoffs, there just won’t be enough players to fill out a full post. It’s been a great season, I hope the playoffs are just as good.

Good luck tonight.
