NBA Fanduel Lineup and Advice 2/28/15

NBA Fanduel Lineup 2/28/15
NBA Games for 2/28/15

Well the night I don't post any Fanduel lineups is the night my lineups score big, go figure. It was good to win again though after a few days in a slump. Hopefully I can keep it going today.

Today's slate is 7 games, which is a little more manageable then yesterday's 14 games slate. If you haven't looked at the available players today, when you do, you'll notice their aren't a lot of top-tier guys playing tonight, which can be good and bad.

It'll be good because ownership percentages will be spread out more evenly, there aren't any Westbrooks on the slate that will be 70% owned. On the other hand, it's going to be tougher to find those “near guaranteed” source of points.

There are no 5 figure players on today's docket, so lineup construction will be more balanced. You don't necessarily have to have a minimum salary guy to balance at that 10K+ guy on your roster. So let's get to it.

NBA Fanduel lineup 2/28/15

10) SG Monta Ellis $7300 Ellis has had any big games in a while, but his price has come down because of it. I think it has come down enough, that on a night like tonight, he will be worth the value. His baseline is at 30 Fanduel Points, and with a matchup with the Nets, he should have no problem obtaining that number. The Nets are bottom 6 in defense versus the shooting guard over the last 3 weeks, and are worse than that over the season.

NBA Fanduel lineup 2/28/15

9) SF Khris Middleton $6600 Middleton isn't spectacular, but he consistent, and you need a few of these guys on your roster on a night like tonight, high ceiling, high floor type guys. The matchup isn't great with Utah, as they rank fairly high in defense versus the small forward position, but Middleton fills up the box score, and doesn't need to score to get you Fanduel Points.

7) SG DeMar DeRozan $6700 DeDe hasn't been good lately, and like Monta Ellis, his price has come down because of this. He is probably more of a GPP play the for cash games. He has 40 point upside at $6700, and he has a matchup with the Knicks. I'll put the buyer beware tag in him, but he might be with the risk.

NBA Fanduel lineup 2/28/15

6) PF Zach Randolph $8200 The Top Ten is full of recent history under achievers, and Randolph falls into that category. His price tag might be a little steep for tonight's slate of games, but a matchup with Minnesota puts him in the Top Ten. He won't struggle forever, so what better time to breakout then versus a team giving up a whopping 48 Fanduel Points to power forwards?

NBA Fanduel lineup 2/28/15

5) SG Eric Bledsoe $8900 So they moved Tyreke Evans to point guard on Fanduel, but left Bledsoe at shooting guard? Doesn't make much sense, but I'll take it. Bledsoe is coming off a huge game versus the Thunder, and maybe is getting used to not having Dragic in the backcourt with him. At first glance, it doesn't look like a great matchup with the Spurs, but the Spurs are one of the worst teams guarding the point guard, and if they treat him like a shooting guard and maybe stick Kawhi on him, I still expect him to see plenty of Tony Parker.

4) C Hassan Whiteside $7600 Whiteside is a bit of a risk tonight, but his potential may be worth it. Having to battle with Hordford and maybe Milsap, could get him into foul trouble, but is he can stay on the floor as he has the last 2 games, I expect a big game. He is more of a GPP play as I don't expect him to be highly owned and he has 40 point upside.

3) PF Al Hordford $8100 Staying in the same game, Horford is inline for a monster game. Did anyone see what Anjina did go the Heat last night? How about 24 and 8! Anjina is no Horford, and I expect a huge game from him. The Heat have been giving up a whopping 49 Fanduel Points over the last week.

NBA Fanduel lineup 2/28/15

2) PF Greg Monroe $7600 I put Monroe and Drummond in my Top 10 yesterday and they didn't disappoint, scoring 53 and 45 respectively. The Wizards, based on season averages, are tough on power forwards and centers, but have struggled mightily of late. Giving up a whopping 50 Fanduel Points to power forwards over the last week, which included games versus the Timberwolves and 76er's.

NBA Fanduel lineup 2/28/15

1) C Andre Drummond $8200 As I alluded to at number 2, I expect Drummond and Monroe to both have big games versus a struggling Wizards team. They could both end up with 40 Fanduel Points tonight.

Dunks Of The Night

  • PG Ricky Rubio $7300 Ok he is a little more expensive then my normal Dunks, but I think the perception is that this is a bad matchup with the Grizzlies. The numbers over the past few weeks don't support this though. Over the last 3 weeks they are 4th worst versus the point guard position, and as I have mentioned before, Rubio doesn't need to score to be productive, so the slow pace shouldn't affect his numbers.
  • PG Kentavious Caldwell-Pope $5100 Been on roll lately and got 33 Fanduel Points versus them 3 games ago. With a baseline of 23, he is averaging close to 30 Fanduel Points over his last 3 games.
  • PG Langston Galloway $5300 A bit up and down, but gets all the minutes, and has a great matchup with the Raptors, who struggle to guard anyone in the backcourt.
  • PF Patrick Patterson $5000 He was one of my favorite value plays before he sat out due to injury. He had a rough outing versus Golden State, but the blowout had something to do with that. He gets the New York Knicks tonight. I'd start myself versus the Knicks.
  • PF Adrea Bargnani $4000 Fresh off a 49 Fanduel Point night, his production can't be ingnored. The number one player on the Cost Versus Value chart tonight, he makes for a great play at $4000.
  • C Alex Len $5100 Putting up three trip dubs over his last 5 games, and just missing in the other 2, will get you some notice. Should play big minutes tonight versus the Spurs, who may rest some of their players.
  • C Marcin Gortat $5500 Finally starting to play like he did last year, too bad it hasn't translated to winning yet, but he can help your Fanduel team win with his production recently. His price is rising, get him while he is hot.

Passes Of The Night

  • SG Dwyane Wade $7200 He will have a big game sooner or later, but your guess is as good as mine, not going to risk it. His price is based on name not production.
  • SG Kevin Martin $6900 he is a guy that relies on volume, and versus the Grizzlies he won't get the volume. He may have a decent game, but I'm passing anyway.
  • PF Tim Duncan $7600 Second game of a back to back and 4th game in 5 nights. No thanks.
  • PG Michael Carter-Williams $8500 He seems to be trying find himself with the Bucks. Had 13 Fanduel Points in 27 minutes versus the worst team defending the point last night in the Lakers.
