NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 1/31/15

update Wall is questionable, check his status before putting him in your lineup.
***Wall is playing. Get him in your lineup.

Another decent night overall for my picks yesterday. I missed on a few, but hit on more then I missed. Hopefully I won’t have the same issues today getting the blog up.

My lineups did well again last night, I ran 4 lineups and all 4 scored over 280 FDP, the best being a 305. They were all above the money line in 50/50’s. I’ll start posting my lineups again starting on Monday. So let’s get to it:

TODAY’S TOP 10 PLAYS

10) Draymond Green I’ve had him on my Pass list a few times, as I think his price was too high for his production. His price has come down, and even though his last outing was a bad one, this is a game where he can succeed. The Suns like to get up and down the court, which the Warriors also succeed at. Expect a lot of scoring in this one, and Green will benefit.

9) Serge Ibaka This pick assumes Durant doesn’t play tonight, which isn’t a definite, so check his status before plugging Serge into your lineup. With Durant out Westbrook and Serge are really the only 2 viable offensive threats. It’s a tough matchup versus the Grizzlies, but he’ll still have success.

8) Paul Milsap Plays good minutes, extremely consistent, and the 76ers are on the schedule. Yes sir, can I have another? He is pretty much lock for 20 and 8 every night.

7) DeMar DeRozan DeDe was on my squad last night, and I was rewarded with a 45 FDP a night. It was an extremely high scoring game with, wait for it…. the Nets! Saying the a Wizards are a better offensive team then the Nets is an understatement. DeDe will have to score again, and he will.

6) Al Horford see Paul Milsap

5) Gorgui Dieng Last night was his 3rd straight double double and I think he’ll be good for another one tonight. At $7100, he could be considered the best value of my Top 10.

4) John Wall Anyone see what Jarret Jack did last night to the Raptors? How about 64 FDP. Wall may not get 64, but 50+ could be attainable.

3) Steph Curry Those 2 losses back to back woke Curry up a little bit. He had been taking a back seat to Klay, but came out and gave you 53 last night at the Jazz. He is at home for this one, look for him to put on a show at the Oracle.

2) LaMarcus Aldridge How could I not put this guy on the list? Two straight 58 FDP games, and a 3rd over 40. He has a tough matchup with a top 5 defense, otherwise he’d be number 1 on this list.

1) Russell Westbrook His number 1 spot is assuming Durant sits out another game. If Durant plays, I still like him, just not as number 1. Memphis is a tough matchup, but Westbrook is pretty matchup proof since his game isn’t solely based on scoring.

That’s my top ten for today. I’m writing this early, so as always, check the injury reports. I had Irving number 1 yesterday assuming Lebron was out, but then Bron played. Irving still had a good game, but it could have been bigger. Now for my Dunks and Passes.

DUNKS

Point Guard

Jerryd Bayless I had him as a Dunk last night, and it paid off if you played him. In his last 3 games, he is averaging more then 1 point per minute played, if only he was getting more then 20 minutes! Tough matchup versus the Bucks, but value that can’t be ignored at $4,400.

Elfrid Payton Scoring more the 25FDP in his last 9 games is what I call consistency. He won’t get you much more then 30FDP, so his upside is limited. He also has a tough matchup with Rondo, but is still expect 25FDP from him.

SHOOTING GUARD

JR Smith I had him as a Dunk last night with Lebron out. Lebron played and he was still good. As a matter of fact, Smith has been better with Bron in the lineup then without. At $5600 he is a great value versus a bad Timberwolves team.

Louis Williams Two straight 30+ FDP nights, and a game I expect to be a shoot out, yes please. Williams at $5500 is a great value at SG.

Aaron Afflalo Bad showing versus Memphis, but that happens to a lot of guys. I’ve had him as a Dunk so often, I can spell his last name without looking it up. Great value at $5700.

SMALL FORWARD

Robert Covington He was my Dunk of Night last night, and I think he is worth the value again today. A tough matchup with Alanta, but worth it at $5600. I don’t like him as much as I did last night, but he is still a viable value play.

Gerald Henderson A little cheaper, but riskier option is Henderson. He has gotten 30+ minutes the last 2 games. Granted one of them wasn’t a great night for his FDP, but at $5,100 he is capable of 25-30FDP.

POWER FORWARD

Nerlens Noel He had a monster game last night, and though I don’t expect that type of game from him tonight, he can still get you 30FDP. He will be needed to play big minutes to matchup with Milsap and Horford, which are tough matchups, but the Rook will hold his own.

Josh Smith DUNK OF THE NIGHT Yeah, you read that right. Josh smith has great value with Howard still out. He has scored 30+ the last 2 games and could flirt with that number again. He is Josh Smith though, so he could give you 8, but he is worth the risk at $5700.

CENTER>

Marcin Gortat At a position with little value, Gortat is the best I got. This should be a high scoring game, with lots of shots being put up. Gortat should be able to get double digit rebounds and enough clean up baskets to be viable.

PASSES

There aren’t very many guys on my pass list tonight, so I’m not gonna break them into positional categories, I’ll just list them.

PG Damien Lillard PASS OF THE NIGHTI had him on my Pass List yesterday too, and he ended up as a good play, but if you really look at it, it wasn’t that great. He had 38 FDP, which is good, but he did it while scoring only 14 points and getting double digit assists. This is the first time he has had double digit assists since December 23rd! Before Christmas! I don’t trust that he’ll do that again for awhile. At his $8600 price point, I’ll pass.

SG Eric Bledsoe I had him on the Top 10 yesterday, today I’ll pass. Golden State is brutal on shooting guards. Now the over/under on this game is through the roof, and Bledsoe is good enough to bunk the trend, but I’m not risking it when there are other guys I like better.

PF Kevin Love He was here on the Pass list yesterday and he played well, but I’m still passing on him. I just don’t trust it. He is too risky a play with PF being a deep position tonight.

Alright guys. That’s it for today. Monday I’ll start putting my favorite lineup on here again.
