NBA Games for 5/6/15
As I write this post, the Wednesday slate hasn’t been posted yet, so I’m going to start with just the Tuesday slate, and later on today I will update it with the Wednesday players. Still to early to tell how my lineups are doing since I stacked the late game.

With only 2 games Tuesday, there isn’t much to talk about, but I’ll do my best to feature some guys I like, let’s get started.

Point Guard

Steph Curry
Steph Curry $10200 With only 3 guys really in play at the point, I’m just going to tell you which stud I like more, and that’s Curry. The problem is, if you go Curry, you’re gonna have to punt somewhere else. I haven’t tried building lineups yet, so I’m not sure how he fits. For sheer “go off” potential, I’m going with Curry. After a sub-par game 1, then officially winning the MVP, he is going to want to put on a show at home.

Shaun Livingston $2000 Here is one of the “super punts” of the day. He checks off all of my “super punt” bullet points. Minimum salary. Check. Consistent minutes. Check. Has shown the ability to put up decent fantasy points. Check. Playing at home. Check. He only needs 11 Fanduel Points to reach value.

Shooting Guard

Tony Allen
Tony Allen $4900 I featured him for game 1 and it paid off. At the shooting guard position tonight, there is no “stud” player. When that happens on a slate, I like to go 100% value instead of forcing it with the “top guy”, in this case Klay Thompson. I’d rather take 2 values here than take the top guy. Allen has been good for a few games now and he gets plenty of minutes because of his defensive prowess. He should flirt with 30 Fanduel Points again tonight.

Kent Bazemore $2000 Another “super punt” that checks off most of the boxes. The one that’s a bit iffy is his proven ability to put up solid fantasy points, but at $2000 he only needs to put up 11, which he has shown the ability to do.

Small Forward

Otto Porter
Otto Porter $4100 Another position with no stud player, not to mention Carroll’s price tag has risen to a point that I don’t trust him to reach value anymore. Porter got 34 minutes in game 1 and ended up with a double double. That’s great production for a guy costing you a sub 5k price tag.

Vince Carter $2100 The last “super punt” on today’s slate, he misses on one of the boxes, and that’s playing at home. He got 18 minutes in game 1 and should see similar minutes in game 2, if he does he should easily reach value.

Power Forward

Draymond Green
Milsap, Draymond Green, and Zach Randolph are the only guys I like here. Nene and Gooden mean a lot to the Wizards, but don’t do much in terms of fantasy value. If I were to rank these guys, it would be Zach, Milsap, then Green.

Center

Al Horford
Al Horford $7400 Horford is my choice at center tonight. With a price tag $1,300 cheaper than Gasol and more upside then Gortat, to me, he is the best choice tonight.

That’s it for now. When the Wednesday contests get posted I will amend this post with a few good plays from that slate. Lineups aren’t quite ready yet, but you can request to be added to the email list, and I’ll send them out as soon as they are ready. Use the Contact Form or Tweet me @geofflambert77 or Facebook me GoingFor2DotCom.

Update

Sorry everyone, I wasn’t able to get the Wednesday post up last night, I worked late. I will have Wednesday’s featured players up later this afternoon. Use the contact form mentioned above to request my lineup.

Also hope everyone as able to make adjustments to my lineups when Wall was ruled out. After making a few adjustments, both my lineups cashed. I apologize for not being able to tweet out my changes before lock. I was at work.

Ok. It’ll be a short one today. Not much time so let’s get started.

Points Guard

Derrick Rose $8100 There are 3 Top Tier Point guards today. Kyrie is too expensive in my opinion and Chris Paul is likely out. So unless you go with a double punt at point guard, Rose is the only option.

Jason Terry $3000 Another no brainer here. I’m not sure why both Hudson and Brooks are at higher price points. Neither is getting a lot of minutes and Hudson has a total of 10 FanDuel points for the entire playoffs. Terry, at 3k is the only punt option for me today.

Shooting Guard

Iman Shumpert $5100 I’m fading Harden today. He has only reached value once during the playoffs, and that was game 3 of the Mavericks series. Shumpert stepped into JR Smiths role and played well in the last game. Expecting similar production.

Jamal Crawford $5100 Jamal clearly is the biggest beneficiary of Chris Paul sitting out. Rivers just isn’t very good, despite his decent fantasy production, he was awful in real life. Crawford was really looking for his shot in game 1, and I expect him to be even more aggressive in game 2.

Small Forward

Lebron James $11500 I’m really going out on a limb here. All jokes aside, James will not let the Cavs go down 0-2 in this series, and he was drastically outplayed by Butler in game 1. That won’t happen this time. James could put up 60 FanDuel points tonight.

Matt Barnes $4300 Going to the well once more. There is no better value at small forward than Barnes. Ride it.

Power Forward

Blake and Pau are obviously in play. No need to talk them up.

Tristan Thompson $5300 The assumed starter for week 1 came off the bench in favor of Mike Miller. That didn’t go so well. So now we have him in game 2 and he is a great value.

Center

Not much to talk about here. Howard or Jordan? Those are your options. Noah will be good too, after playing sick in game one, his price tag allows you to pay up else where.

Lineups are ready. Just use the Contact Form to request one. Good luck tonight. We had a $250 winner last night with Brendan’s FanDuel MLB lineup. Let’s repeat that success.
