NBA Playoffs Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis for 5/11

Still early Sunday night, but it’s not looking good for my lineups. I tried to get cute, going Kyrie over Rose because Kyrie would be lower owned. He was. He also scored less Fanduel points and cost over a grand more. That’s not a recipe for success.

Also punted James Jones and he got a big zero. I didn’t get to watch any of this game, but I’m assuming he didn’t play at all since he scored a whopping zero! Miraculously  one of the aforementioned lineups is still cashing in some double-ups, but I don’t expect it to hold. Yep, didn’t hold.

I gotta put this one behind me, and move on. Sometimes these things happen. The only good thing coming out of today, my 2 day lineup is sitting pretty at the moment.

Now let’s get into to tonight’s slate, and hopefully break this 2 day losing streak.

Point Guard

Just a quick observation/gripe, Curry hasn’t reached value in any game of this series, so how does his price go up $100? I thought Fanduel had some super secret algorithm to determine price, but now I think there is just some shmo at a computer saying “uh, $10,100 sounds about right”. Honestly though, I think the news that John Wall may miss the entire playoffs may have something to do with it. Curry now becomes the only stud point guard on this cycle of games. Ok, rant over.

Jeff Teague

Jeff Teague $6900 Teague killed the Wizards in the regular season, but he has yet to do so in this series. If the Hawks want to have any chance at winning this series, they have to win game 4. Teague needs to step up big time, and I’m predicting he will. Teague will break to 40 point mark tonight, something he did twice in 3 games versus the Wizards during the regular season.

Beno Udrih $3000 Beno is not a sexy pick to say the least, but he has reached value in the last 2 games. Granted he only needs 15 Fanduel points to reach value, but his price tag allows you to pay up for someone else. He is the Jason Terry of this cycle of games.

Shooting Guard

Brad Beal

Brad Beal $7700 He is the obvious choice here. With no John Wall for the foreseeable future, this is now his team, and so far he has delivered. His price tag is getting a little steep, but top-tier shooting guards on this slate go 2 deep, and I’m not liking Klay tonight.

Ok, before I tell you who my other choice is, if I told you 2 players listed at the same position on Fanduel, in their last 2 game both had 23 and 22 Fanduel points. One is 5K and the other is 3800, which one are you taking?…..

Courtney Lee $3800 Tony Allen was the other guy in that scenario. He has been terrific on defense for Memphis, but in that last 2 games it hasn’t amount into much production. Give me the cheaper, more offensive guy for less money.

Kent Bazemore $2000 Total punt play here. At $2000 he is the only guy getting worthwhile minutes at that price. His baseline value is only 10 Fanduel points, something he has done in the last 2 games. He allows you to pay up elsewhere.

Small Forward

Otto Porter

Otto Porter $5100 At that price, he is a must start. For the first time he is listed at a higher price point than Paul Pierce. Now Pierce may be worth more to the Wizards than Otto is, but Otto has more fantasy value. Last second buzzer beaters are great for the Wizards, for us DFS players it’s still only 2 points.

Vince Carter $2300 So I swung and missed on him the other night, but he is still a smart play. His price tag gives you some flexibly, and up until last game he was reaching value. For some reason he was given less minutes last game, but I expect him to bounce back tonight.

Power Forward

I’m not going to jump on the Nene bandwagon yet. It’s still Milsap, Draymond, and Zbo. Any combo of the 3 will work.

Center

Al Horford

Al Horford $7900 Sounds like the injury is nothing serious, and he should be good to go Monday. He is still the best play at center in my opinion. Cheaper than Gasol with similar upside and not as erratic and unpredictable as Gortat.

Kosta Koufos $2000 He could be a sneaky punt play. He gets more minutes at home typically, and had a decent outing at home in the last game. He is at home for this one, could be worth a punt.

That wraps up tonight, I’ll have my lineups ready some time in the afternoon. You can use my Contact Form to request them as usual. There is one difference for those that have requested before. The response will be more automated, so if you have a question you want answered, you’ll have to ask it in the comment section below. Responding individually to so many emails became a daunting task. I’m still more than happy to answer all your questions, just prefer it done in comments.

Brendan over on the Fanduel MLB post came up with a great idea. If you’re on twitter, and you’re cashing with one of our lineups, use the hashtag #G42moneyteam. Help us grow our following.

Good Luck!
