NBA Playoffs FanDuel Lineup Advice and Analysis for 5/4 and 5/5/15

So I was just about to sit down last night and write the NBA FanDuel post for the Monday/Tuesday contest. I had all my notes, I was ready to brag about my great call on Danny Green, blah blah blah. I go into the basement to bring something down, only to discover my basement has flooded!

Needless to say, today’s post will be postponed until later this afternoon. Luckily it’s only a 3 game slate and it won’t be super long. Until then…..

Ok. Now that I got the basement issues taken care of, more or less, let’s get to some more exciting stuff. These players will be from the Monday/Tuesday slate.

I have lineups for today’s slate only and the Monday/Tuesday slate. Use the Contact Form or tweet me @geofflambert77, and specify which one you want.

I’m limited on time, so I’m not gonna waste time on the studs. They are all in play. I’ll concentrate on second and third tier, as well as punts.

Point Guard

  • Jason Terry $3000 Terry is the only 3k and under player that I feel is pretty safe to reach value. The others have more upside. Terry has had plenty of rest, so game 1 he should be able to go all out.
  • Matthew Dellavedova $2500 He is a pure punt play. He should pick up minutes with JR Smith being out. He is a GPP play only.

Shooting Guard

  • Iman Shumpert $4500 The player with the most to gain in terms of court time is Shumpert. On this team, he doesn’t do much offensively, but could chip in with enough peripherals to be viable.
  • Austin Rivers $3600 I don’t expect Chris Paul to sit tonight, and I don’t expect to know one way or the other until lineups have locked. So you can play this one of 2 ways. You play Chris Paul because with the uncertainty, he’ll be low owned. Then hope he plays well. The problem with that is, the rest of your lineup suffer because of Paul’s price tag. The second option is to go cheap, upgrade every other position, and even if Paul plays, Rivers will get minutes. If Paul sits, you look like a genius.

Small Forward

  • Matt Barnes $4700 Barnes played well in the game 7 versus the Spurs, and with Chris Paul either limited or out entirely, he’ll have to do more on offense.
  • Shawn Marion $2400/Mike Miller $2000 I’m leaning toward Marion getting more minutes than Miller, but it could go either way. Marion played well for a stint during the season when Love was out. On the other hand, Miller is a shooter, and LeBron likes him. That might be enough to get him a couple heaves from distance. If he hits a few, he will get the minutes.

Power Forward

  • Terrance Jones $5200 Jones was the better option during the regular season at power forward over Josh Smith. Now that he is priced below Smith, he becomes a boom or bust value pick.
  • Tristan Thompson $4900 Obvisous choice to get Loves’s minutes. Great value for this series.

Center

  • Timofey Mosgov $4800 Not much value at center. With Love out, Mosgov will be asked to do a little more. Not a great option, but if you pay up everywhere else, not a terrible one either.

That’s wraps it up for today. Hopefully no surprises tonight and I’ll get a full post up for the next 2 game slate. All lineups are ready to go, use the Contact Form to request them. Good luck.
