Welcome back everyone. The NBA decided to take a day off yesterday, so I took a day off as well. My lineups from Wednesday did pretty well in most contests. I played some double-ups, some 50/50’s, and some mini GPP’s, and I cashed in all of them. I hear they didn’t fair as well in head to heads, but I honestly don’t play H2Hs very much.
Before we get into tonight’s slate I wanted to quickly tell everyone about something. I’m going to do an official write-up for this, but just wanted to touch on it here first. GoingFor2 is entering a partnership with a new DFS site called DraftPot. I’m not sure how many have heard of it, or how many of you have played it, but my partnership with them is going to allow all my readers with a chance to win real money for FREE!
Here is how it works. Go to Draftpot.com and use my Promo code GOING42 to sign-up. You’ll be given $4 free to play. No obligations. You don’t even have to enter a credit card, nothing. Simply use that code, verify your email address, get $4, play for free, if you don’t like it you never have to play again. It’s basically a free-roll.
I’ve already signed up and I’m playing in 2 contests for tonight’s slate. If I like it and I decide to continue playing, I’ll start doing lineups for it. I will tell you it’s a bit harder to build a lineup, and takes a little more thought, but it has promise. So I’m asking everyone to please go check it out, you literally have nothing to lose and you might win some money. Not to mention my promotion of their site helps support mine. It’s a win win. I feel like I should be ending this with “And if your one of the first 150 callers you get…..”. But seriously, check it out guys. Now let’s get to why your here.
Looking at tonight’s slate I feel like I could just copy/paste one of my previous posts. Not much changes, barring injury, when both series play on the same night twice in 3 days. The only real questions are; “Will Chris Paul play?” and “Will the change of venue affect anyone?” I think the answer to both questions is “Yes”…..
Point Guard
Jason Terry $3000 He is the only point guard, besides the top 3, that I’d be interested in unless Chris Paul sits again. Dellavedova’s value will be hurt by the return of JR Smith and Austin Rivers will be hurt by Chris Paul’s return. Even if Chris Paul doesn’t return, Rivers’s price-tag went up and he isn’t as attractive. Terry isn’t a world beater, but he is going to get his value night in and night out.
Shooting Guard
JR Smith $5000 JR is an emotional player, and emotional players don’t likesitting out of the action. Being out 2 games will give him a bit of an edge to him on Friday, I expect him to try to make up for 2 games worth of not shooting the ball by halftime. In other words, he is going to be jacking them up. Hopefully, for our sake, he is also knocking them down. The other thing that could help his cause is if Shumpert is forced to sit.
JJ Redick $5000 Redick led the NBA this season in points scored in the 1st quarter of games. What that means is the Clippers like to get JJ some shots early in the game to soften the defense. With CP3 out for the first 2 games, Redick has struggled. I’m expecting CP3 to play and Redick to step up in a big way tonight. The home court will also help Redick find his shot.

Small Forward
Lebron, Ariza, or Barnes. That’s it, not much to see here, move along.
Power Forward
A word of Advice “Don’t Fade Blake“. He is too good right now and he’ll be better at home.
Taj Gibson $4000 I think Taj is another player that will benefit from the home court. Taj is an energy guy. They don’t run plays for him, they don’t feed him the ball, he simply gets all the hustle plays. It’s easier and more rewarding to get those hustle plays on your home court.
Center
Joakim Noah $5500 Howard and Jordan are the top choices here, and if you can fit them in to your lineup I’ll take no issue, but I’m rolling with Noah tonight. Noah, like Taj, is an energy guy, he lives and thrives off it. The home crowd will be in full force and I’m expecting Noah to get a strong double double tonight, maybe even rebounds in the mid-teens. At $5500, he is my play at center.
I know it was short post today, but like I said, I feel like I just talked about these guys the other night. Oh, that’s right, I did.
As always, I’ll email my lineup out to everyone that requests it. You can use the Contact Form to get the lineup. Any general questions you have please use the comment section below. Trying to answer a ton of emails questions, as well as send out my lineup gets daunting. Â It’s easier to answer questions in my comment section than in an email. You can also ask questions on Twitter @geofflambert77. Good Luck!
