After a blow out round of wildcard games, it is time for the games to get intense. Â That’s right, it is time for the divisional playoffs. Â With both the New York Giants and Detroit Lions losing, it is the Green Bay Packers and the Seattle Seahawks facing the Dallas Cowboys and Atlanta Falcons. Â The winners of each game will advance and battle for the NFC Crown. Â But who will that be? Â Lets take a look!
Seattle Seahawks Vs Atlanta Falcons
This is a rematch that many have been many waiting for since 2012. Â The Seahawks lost that one and are eager to get back to the superbowl. Â These two teams meet back in october for a tight game. Â However this weekend, the Seahawks will be with out a few major weapons. Â SS Earl Thomas and WR Tyler Lockette are both out. Â They will relay heavy on QB Russell Wilson to carry them in what should be a high powered high scoring game. Â WR Doug Baldwin, TE Jimmy Graham, and RB Thomas Rawls will have to give everything they can. Â New star WR Paul Richardson made what many are calling the catch of the year last week. Â He will have to step up and make some more plays to help out. Â The legion of Boom will have to its hand full. Â They are facing WR’s Julio Jones, Mohamed Sanu, and Taylor Gabriel.
MVP Candidate Matt Ryan is leading his Falcons to the superbowl. Â Or at least the Conference Championship. Â Having the advantage of the more healthy team, the Falcons are primed to repeat the performance set in 2o12. Â With pro bowler Julio Jones as a huge play maker, they have many options to pass the ball around, not to mention the running game. Â Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman have been able to move the ball and make big plays whenever they get the ball. Â They are facing a weak defense in the the Seahawks and will look to take advantage of that early and often.
Prediction – Falcons 38 to Seahawks 34
Green Bay Packers Vs Dallas Cowboys
The Packers are lead by QB Aaron Rodgers. Â He has compiled an MVP worthy season as well and has been all but unstoppable lately. Â As of this writing, WR Jordy Nelson is highly unlikley to play. Â If he does, it will be in a very limited role. Â WR Randel Cobb and Devante Adams will have to pick up the slack again this week. Â The running game last week was weak with RB Christine Michael and TY Montgomery only putting up 70 on the ground. Â They will need to help push more to keep the Packers keep up with the Cowboys. Â The biggest threat that they face will be rookie sensation RB Ezekiel Elliott and his impressive run game.
The Cowboys lead by rookie QB Dak Prescott. Â They have had a huge season led by the two impressive rookies. Â Aided by veteran WR Dez Bryant, WR Cole Beasley, and TE Jason Witten they are set for a great run. Â Elliott will have to gash and tear through the Packers defense to keep the pass rush honest. Â Look for Prescott to pass the ball around plenty, and for at least one did he catch it moment for Dez Bryant! Â On the other side of the ball, they will be challenged to slow down Rodgers, no easy task. Â They need to pressure him and get him to make mistakes if they want to find away to get ahead.
Prediction – Greenbay 24 to Cowboys 21
