NFL DFS DraftKings GPP Plays for Week 11 (11/17/16-11/20/16)

Week 10 was an exciting one in the NFL. Teams like the Cowboys, Giants, and Dolphins all extended their win streaks, and we finally had a trio of primetime games worth watching. It was also a big weekend for fantasy play with stellar performances from Ezekiel Elliott, Marcus Mariota, Ryan Mathews, the entire Steelers offense, and much more. It’s becoming clear that in the 2nd half of the season, players are going into an extra gear to try and help their respective teams. Week 11 should be that much more intense, starting with a divisional showdown between the Saints and Panthers on Thursday night. Here’s a look at some of the top GPP plays we like on DraftKings this week throughout the weekend.

NFL DFS DraftKings GPP Plays for Week 11

DailyFantasyNerd DraftKings GPP Play of the Day

LeGarrette Blount (NE) @ SF $6,400

I’m not usually the biggest fan of inserting Blount into DraftKings lineups simply because of his lack of receptions. However, Blount continues to dominate on the ground, and now gets the juiciest matchup of the week against the 49ers. Blount finished Sunday night’s game against Seattle with three touchdowns on 21 carries (data from DraftSnap daily fantasy optimizer). If he can do that against one of the top defenses in the league, just imagine what he can do against the worst run defense in the league.

Quarterbacks

Marcus Mariota (TEN) @ IND $6,700

Mariota is quietly having an excellent sophomore season. The Titans just manhandled the Packers in last week’s contest, now standing at 5-5 on the season and in surge of a potential playoff spot. It’s quite the turnaround from last year’s 4-12 team. A successful run game led by DeMarco Murray has helped Mariota transition better this year. Mariota has thrown for at least two touchdowns in six consecutive games. He has a great opportunity to extend that streak against the Colts in a division matchup that will likely turn into a shootout.

Kirk Cousins (WAS) vs. GB $5,800

Washington has a big matchup with the Packers this week as both teams attempt to keep pace for the playoffs. The Packers look to be collapsing, however, as they have now lost three straight. The defense has looked awful, allowing at least 30 points in three consecutive games, and four out of the last five. Mariota shed the defense with ease last week on his way to four touchdown passes. Cousins doesn’t have the athleticism that Mariota does, but in a big game on primetime television at home, Cousins could catch fire in this one.

Other Notables: Aaron Rodgers (GB) @ WAS $7,600, Andrew Luck (IND) vs. TEN $7,200, Tyrod Taylor (BUF) @ CIN $5,600

Running Backs

Jonathan Stewart (CAR) vs. NO $5,900

Stewart is always a boom-or-bust candidate that tends to lean on the bust side more often than not. This week, however, Stewart and the Panthers welcome the Saints into town on Thursday night, who continue to struggle against opposing backs. This game has shootout written all over it, evidenced by their 41-38 final in Week 6. In that game, Stewart rushed for 95 yards and two touchdowns (data from DraftSnap daily fantasy optimizer). On a short week, the Panthers are likely to involve their lead back more than normal.

C.J. Prosise (SEA) vs. PHI $4,200

The Seahawks surprised many earlier this week when they decided to cut Christine Michael. In fairness, Michael had been struggling down the stretch, and it’s apparent that Thomas Rawls is set to return to action. While Rawls is expected to eventually lead the backfield, he’ll likely take a backseat to Prosise this week as he works his way back in. Prosise was impressive with his first heavy workload last week in New England. We could see Prosise get another 20 touches or so this week. Even if that is not the case, he provides enough added value on passing downs to feel comfortable having him in your lineup.

Other Notables: David Johnson (ARI) @ MIN $7,900, Latavius Murray (OAK) vs. HOU $5,500, Theo Riddick (DET) vs. JAX $5,100

Wide Receivers

Allen Robinson (JAX) @ DET $7,400

Blake Bortles and the Jaguars have struggled in his third season, but ARob’s fantasy value is finally turning upwards. Robinson has at least 70 receiving yards in each of the last three games with an astonishing 40 targets in that span. While Bortles cannot be counted on to accurately throw it to ARob every time, it’s a good sign that he continues to try and find his #1 receiver. The Lions are not very good against receivers and will struggle to cover ARob for the entire game.

Michael Thomas (NO) @ CAR $6,600

Thomas had the worst game of his young career last week, but he was going up against Denver’s #1 rated pass defense so we can give him a pass. His poor performance that included two costly fumbles could be concerning for some, steering them away from Thomas this week. Leading up to the game, however, Thomas was making a strong case as the Saints #1 receiver. As previously mentioned, this game has all the looks of another shootout, and Thomas will have plenty of opportunities to redeem himself.

Jamison Crowder (WAS) vs. GB $5,400

Crowder has consistently gone overlooked in many fantasy formats, but he has been the Redskins most consistent receiver this season. Although he makes for a terrific play when Jordan Reed is not in there, Crowder has proven he’s able to produce even when he is. Kirk Cousins trusts his veteran receiver, and there will be plenty of opportunities for Crowder against a Packers defense that is falling apart.

Other Notables: Dez Bryant (DAL) vs. BAL $7,200, Davante Adams (GB) @ WAS $6,700, Kenny Britt (LA) vs. MIA $5,200, Cameron Meredith (CHI) @ NYG $4,100

Tight Ends

Martellus Bennett (NE) @ SF $3,700

It looks as though Rob Gronkowski could miss at least a week, leaving Bennett in prime position for a great matchup. Bennett was exceptional earlier in the season when Gronk was out of the lineup, and most of that was without Tom Brady. With Gronk in the lineup last week, Brady still found Bennett seven times for 102 yards against a tough Seattle defense. The 49ers, on the other hand, are bad in just about every category. We’ll have to keep track of Gronk’s status up until game time, but should he miss, Bennett would become a great option.

Other Notables: Jordan Reed (WAS) vs. GB $5,900, Delanie Walker (TEN) @ IND $5,700, Zach Miller (CHI) @ NYG $3,800

Defense

Miami @ LA $2,900

The Rams have announced that Jared Goff will get his first official start this weekend against the Dolphins. The Dolphins have done a complete 180 by winning their past four games and should be heavy favorites going in. Much of the credit has gone to Jay Ajayi and the improved offensive line, but the defense has also stepped up in a major way. Kiko Alonso‘s interception return for a touchdown late against the Chargers last week turned out to be the game-winner. The Dolphins defense also now rank 2nd in third-down efficiency, behind only Baltimore. Mistakes are sure to be made on the Rams offense that Miami could capitalize on. Another defensive score is not out of the question either.

Other Notables: Kansas City vs. TB $3,400
