NFL Playoffs: Super Bowl Bound, pick em’

With 6 games left in the Post Season and the AFC and NFC Champions have yet to be determined, let’s discuss which teams have the heart and fight to make their way to the biggest game of the year Superbowl Llll.

AFC

#6 Colts vs. #1 Chiefs.

The Indianapolis Colts started off the season 1-5. Andrew Luck and company have powered their way in an impressive feat to a 10-6 record and now find themselves in the Divisional Round of the Playoffs against a red hot Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes.

Mahomes is arguably the best quarterback in the NFL this season passing for 5,097 YDS 50 TD and just 12 INT. The Colts rank 4th in pass defense but with the creative mind of Andy Reid behind the arm of Patrick Mahomes I just don’t think the defense will get it done. Offense prevails in this bout. Chiefs 27-Colts 23

#5 Chargers vs. #2 Patriots

The New England Patriots are up to the Patriot way and win yet another Divisional Title. Tom Brady didn’t look like his usual self at the beginning of the season but turned things around passing for 4,355 YDS, 29 TD and 11 INT leading the Patriots to an 11-5 record and earning the #2 seed in the Playoffs.

The LA Chargers are on Impressive run of their own. Philip Rivers stats aren’t any less impressive passing for 4,308 YDS, 32 TDS and just 12 INT with a passer rating of 105.5. The Patriots defense is ranked 21st overall and the Chargers defense has been on a roll for the better part of the year is ranked 9th overall. The Chargers offense will be too much to overcome for the Patriots and the Chargers advance to the AFC championship game.

An AFC Championship game between The LA Chargers and The Kansas City Chiefs is exciting to think about. These two teams have been at each other’s throats all year each earning a win against the other. Mahomes inexperience and Andy Reids poor time management will help a Superbowl bound Phillip Rivers and the LA Chargers to win the tiebreaker on the season to advance to Superbowl Llll. Chargers 30-Chiefs 24

NFC

#4 cowboys vs. #2 Rams

No Doubt The Dallas Cowboys had a great run at the end of the season and Dak Prescott looked to be progressing. Last week That Dak attack looks porous, to say the least. Dak passed for 226 YDS with just 1 TD and 1 INT versus a weak Seahawks defense. The Cowboys are playing a scary Rams team. The Rams offense ranks 2nd overall, 5th in passing and 3rd in rushing. Even with the 7th ranked defense of the Cowboys, it won’t be enough to slow down a great young coach in Sean Mcvay, Jared Goff and With Gurley being cleared from injury. Rams 31-Cowboys 20

#6 Eagles vs. #1 Saints

This game is the most intriguing game of the week. With Wentz going down at the end of the season with yet another injury, this time to his back. Nick Foles and The Philadelphia Eagles have defied all odds again defeating a great Chicago Bears team and advancing to the Divisional Round of the Playoffs to play a Saints team that seems to be unbeatable. The Saints offense hasn’t looked the same after being dominated by the Cowboys in an embarrassing loss to a surprising team. This Eagles team ranking doesn’t do them justice. After the blowout loss to the Saints in week 11 losing 48-7.

The Eagles have been a completely different team winning all but 1 game since earning their way into the playoffs. The defense and the offensive line play next to Nick Foles entering the line up has had the most impact on the game. This is a very different Eagles team The Saints played just a few months ago. Don’t be surprised when the underdogs win again. Eagles 30-Saints 27

An NFC Championship game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the LA Rams would be fun to watch, to say the least. Sean Mcvay will be looking for revenge against the Eagles for the 33-30 loss handed to the Rams at the end of the season by the Eagles. Heading into this game most would still call the Eagles underdogs but Sean Mcvay and Jared Goff will put their fill of football knowledge out on the field to earn a trip to Superbowl Llll. The Philadelphia Eagles will be ready, it almost seems that the Foles magic takes over this entire team and gives a new found confidence to play at a higher level. Eagles win a close tough fought battle to advance to Superbowl Llll.
