We started this week with a call in from Lou in Jersey. Lou brought up the baseball playoffs and we discussed which teams we were pulling for.
Next we discussed the career of David Ortiz and what Big Papi meant to the Boston Red Sox, the city of Boston, and the baseball world at large.
This brought up the subject of our Twitter poll. We asked:
With the suspicions of PED usage, should David Ortiz still be voted into the Hall of Fame?
We agreed with the Twitter majority (75%) and said that David Ortiz most definitely belongs in Cooperstown. We got into a discussion of PED usage and discussed the recent suspension of Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Lane Johnson. We also discussed what his loss will mean to the Eagles and you can hear me pronounce Halapoulivaati Vaitai.
After the break, we went into our rant segment, What The Hell, Man! Rashan went on a tirade about Donald Trump making jokes about the NFL concussion protocol and calling the players weak. My tirade centered around NFL official Pete Morelli and his utter screwing of the Philadelphia Eagles in their recent game against the Detroit Lions. Of course we both got rather passionate about both subjects, so don’t miss it.
The rant against the officials brought up how terrible officiating all year has been in the NFL and some of the bogus rules and regulations being upheld this season. One of our favorite callers joined in, Bryce from Brooklyn. Once again, Rashan the Don and I were called the King and Queen of Pennsylvania once again from our bet when the Pittsburgh Steelers were taken out by our Philadelphia Eagles.
As always, Bryce brought up some great thinking points regarding players in the NFL and perceptions in the sport.
We did a recap of Thursday Night Football, I’d call it a highlight, but there weren’t any! We both agree Thursday Night Football is bad and getting worse.

We started our predictions for the upcoming week and first up we discussed the Eagles and the Washington Redskins. We brought up the favorite social media topic of the week, should DeSean Jackson be picked up by the Eagles next year when he will a free agent? We both still have love and respect for DJax and would love to see him back.
As always, we ran into a time crunch and quickly went over our picks for week 6 in the NFL.
We ended with our hilarious game, Nailed It or Failed It! We welcomed in Geoff Lambert, writer and owner here at goingfor2.com to join us. We read Geoff quotes and tweets from around the sports world and he then gave his opinion if they nailed it or failed it and why. We get the chance to respond and laughs and jokes ensue. This is always my favorite part of the show. This week we had some great laughs and we also turned it political for a little bit, with a good dash of sexy mixed in, don’t miss it.
