This was a very special show on The Red Zone, we dedicated this show to the legendary Craig Sager who passed away recently.  His death has touched everyone in the sports world from fellow broadcasters, to players to fans.  I’m not embarrassed to say I got a little emotional during this tribute while speaking of how inspirational he was to me.

While I composed myself, we took a call from Lou in Jersey who brought up some Bowl game talk in NCAA football.

From here we went into our Twitter poll question:

How do you feel when healthy players sit out regular season games?

The options were, I don’t care, it annoys me, ok as long as they suck, and the winner, ok as long as it’s strategic.

Rashan the Don and I got into a huge debate about the merit of sitting players, centered around the recent sitting of the big three, LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Love on the Cleveland Cavaliers.  Eventually Rashan proclaimed I was right after some heavy debate.

After the break we went to our rant segment, What the Hell Man!  I got us started this week going after Deshazor Everett for being a dirty player, on top of the hit and concussion he caused to Darren Sproles, he also dirty hit Brent Celek, and has a violent history from college.

Rashan followed up by going after Jon Runyan for not giving him a bigger punishment for the hit.

I then turned us to a bonus rant on Pete Carroll as we transitioned to Thursday Night Football.

From here we went on to Eagles talk.

We ended with our hilarious game, Nailed It or Failed It!  We welcomed special guest Damon on the line to play, close friend to Rashan and a fun Philly boy with a sexy voice I crush on.  We read Damon quotes and tweets from around the sports world and he then gave his opinion if they nailed it or failed it and why.  We get the chance to respond and laughs and jokes ensue.  This devolved into some hilarious side conversation and a boxing discussion.  Once again, I laughed a lot, this segment always signifies the start of my weekend fun.

The entire show was full of laughs, some cries, and sexy fun with sports.  Hit play at the top of the page and join us on The Red Zone, then get over to Twitter and send us a follow @TheRedZoneLive to never miss an exciting moment!

I write about what's pissing me off, NFL and Philadelphia Eagles opinion pieces, personal insight on the NFL, and draft prospect interviews. Outside of the NFL my teams are the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Boston Red Sox, the UCONN Huskies, the Ohio State Buckeyes, and although they're gone, they are not forgotten, long live the Hartford Whalers!
