We got the show started talking about the recent incident with Charles Oakley and his ban from Madison Square Garden. Lou from Jersey, a New York Knicks fan, called and weighed in.
After the first segment, we went all Super Bowl and NFL Honors!
We discussed out Twitter poll, asking what the reason was for Atlanta losing Super Bowl LI. Twitter did not place the blame on Matt Ryan (3%) however my co-host does give him a hefty chunk of the blame. The defense took a larger chunk of blame at 28% but the overwhelming fault was placed on Dan Quinn and Kyle Shanahan and the greatness of Tom Brady.
We recapped the game with our opinions.
After the break, we went into our rant session. Rashan went off on the Hall of Fame voters for snubbing Terrell Owens, this was a rare moment when we were in complete agreement so I got in on this a bit as well.. I ranted about the internet news and social media gangsters calling Lady GaGa fat after her amazing Super Bowl performance, once again my co-host and I were in agreement. Remember, young people are very impressionable and when young girls see someone they may consider an idol body shamed it does more harm than good. Lady GaGa is an adult with thick skin and can handle it, but you never know who else is listening.
We discussed and debated more of the NFL Honor awards and Hall of Fame selections.
We welcomed in special guest Damian Adams, host of The Real Deal with Damian Adams. We got Damian’s opinion on the Super Bowl and the state of the New York Knicks.
We ended with our hilarious game, Nailed It or Failed It! We read Damian quotes and tweets from around the sports world and he then gave his opinion if they nailed it or failed it and why. We get the chance to respond and laughs and jokes ensue.
