The 10 Best Rookies for Fantasy in Week 11

Things seemed to get back to normal in Week 10. For the most part, the good teams won, and the bad teams lost… but we did have one tie, which was weird. As for the rookies, here’s how they look going into Week 11.

1.) Ja’Marr Chase (Previous Rank: 1)

He’s back. Ja’Marr Chase and the Bengals return from their bye week to take on the Raiders. Chase offers WR1 upside each and every week.

Advice: START

2.) Najee Harris (Previous Rank: 2)

Najee Harris continues to be the workhorse for the Steelers. In Week 10, Harris rushed for 105 yards and compiled 133 total yards.  Harris and the Steelers get the primetime spotlight once again in Week 11 against the Chargers

Advice: START

3.) Jaylen Waddle (Previous Rank: 4)

Jaylen Waddle gets the edge over DeVonta Smith this week because of his matchup. Waddle and the Dolphins will be taking on the Jets, so be confident in starting Waddle as your WR3, who can finish as a WR2.

Advice: START

4.) DeVonta Smith (Previous Rank: 5)

WHIFF! Last week I advised you to sit DeVonta Smith because of his matchup. Instead, Smith battled the Denver secondary by recording a 4/66/2 line. That kind of line tells me Jalen Hurts will continue to look Smith’s way, no matter the matchup. Plus, it ‘felt’ like Smith took a step forward in his young career and further cemented himself as the WR1 in Philly.

Advice: START

5.) Elijah Mitchell (Previous Rank: 7)

Even with Jeff Wilson getting some carries on Monday Night Football, Elijah Mitchell continued to be ‘The Guy’ for the 49ers. Mitchell finished the night with 91 yards on 27 carries. Mitchell now gets the Jaguars, who are surprisingly effective against the run, but they have given up nine touchdowns to opposing running backs (T-4th).

6.) Rashod Bateman (Previous Rank: 5)

Thank goodness for the 2-minute drill. Rashod Bateman’s Week 10 outing looked like a clunker until the final seven minutes when he hauled in four of his six receptions. Heading into Week 11, Bateman has seen *at least* 6 targets in all four games of his career. Once he starts scoring touchdowns, he’ll be hard to take out of your starting lineup.

Advice: START

7.) Mac Jones (Previous Rank: 8)

Mac Jones just had the best game of his career in Week 10. Jones finished with a career-high 82% completion percentage and a QB rating of 142.1. He’s heating up at the right time for New England, and he’s limiting his mistakes. If you need a QB2 in super flex, Jones is a viable option against Atlanta.

Advice: SF Start

8.) Pat Freiermuth (Previous Rank: 8)

Well, The Muth had a bad game. He was able to haul in 5 catches for 31 yards, but he did have the costly fumble that essentially led to a tie with the Detroit Lions. It also didn’t help that Mason Rudolph was under center for Week 10. If Big Ben returns, Pat should also return to your starting lineup. If Rudolph is still under center, keep Muth on the bench.

Advice: SIT

9.) Kyle Pitts (Previous Rank: 6)

The rookie unicorn may need to find his way back to your bench. Kyle Pitts has a combined 22 fantasy points over the last three weeks, and now he gets a surging New England defense. Feel free to fire up another option at tight end if you have another option.

Advice: SIT

10.) Elijah Moore (Previous Rank: 9)

Elijah Moore had a tough matchup in Week 10 but salvaged his Sunday with a late-game touchdown. Now Moore gets the Miami Dolphins, who have given up the most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. Despite their strong showing against Baltimore, the Miami defense is still giving up the 3rd most fantasy points to wide receivers.

Just a man who loves football. I once drafted Patrick Mahomes "way too early" in 2018, and I never looked back.
