The Best Waiver Adds for your Fantasy Team Week 12

RB Gus Edwards (BAL) 28% Owned

This is more of a one-week rental than it is a long term buy. However, Edwards is the only back left to be able to play since Dobbins and Ingram are both on the COVID-19 injured reserve. In the last two games, Edwards has 15 or more touches against the Steelers, he has combined for 37/217/1 at 5.87 YPC. He is a solid RB2 with upside this week even against a very stout Steelers defense. – @ricco_3733

QB Taysom Hill (NO) 42% Owned

Need a Quarterback? Drew Brees is expected to be out until at least Week 15. Hill was actually pretty efficient 18/23 through the air, he also had 2 rushing touchdowns and 51 yards on the ground. I expect certain fantasy sites to fix his position eligibility next week. I think if you have a solid term, but a struggling Quarterback Taysom Hill is worth the add. – @yetiexpress2

TE Jordan Reed (SF) 15% Owned

In a year in which tight end production is down, Jordan Reed offers a good appeal to desperate fantasy football managers, especially with George Kittle most likely being done for the season. In his last game, he drew six targets and had five catches for 62 yards. In an offense with so many injuries and the team’s upcoming favorable schedule for the position, he has the potential to be streaming tight end each week. – @shawn_sulli5

WR Nelson Agholor (PHI) 20% Owned

It’s hard to believe that Nelson Agholor is still available in 80% of Yahoo leagues, yet here we are. He’s the number two option in this passing offense behind Darren Waller and coming off his best game of the season with six catches on nine targets for 88 yards and a touchdown. Las Vegas has two great matchups coming up, with the Falcons in Week 12 and the Jets in Week 3. He should continue his solid play at least the next few weeks and is someone I’m willing to blow the rest of my FAAB on to acquire. – @GMenJay

WR Jalen Reagor (PHI) 28% Owned

I think Reagor is in the process of taking over as the WR for the Eagles. Since returning from injury, Reagor has outscored Travis Fulgham 31.1- 23.4. Fulgham did his damage when he was the only option on offense, and as more weapons are returning he may get pushed aside. Reagor is the guy I want long-term and has great rest of season schedule. Seattle this week, followed by Green Bay, New Orleans, Arizona, and Dallas in Week 16. Reagor is a high upside flex with league-winning upside. – @GMenJay

QB PJ Walker (CAR) 1% Owned

Walker finished the day with 258 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. But the most important stat is that he led the Carolina Panthers to a win while targeting both DJ Moore and Curtis Samuel. Walker’s ability to utilize the weapons available will only help pad his stats. His first NFL start was slightly rocky in that the two interceptions were both in the end zone.

The plus (besides the win) is that he isn’t afraid to put the ball in the air. The extent of the injury to Teddy Bridgewater is unknown, but the Panthers have a bye in Week 13, so Walker may get the start in Week 12 against the Minnesota Vikings. – @neverenoughglt

RB Ty Johnson (NYJ) 0% Owned

For the deep leagues where running back is scarce, Johnson could be a decent PPR fill-in for at least a few weeks. With La’Mical Perine out and expected to go on IR, Frank Gore will step into the lead role leaving Johnson to play the passing down/change-of-pace back. This past week, with Perine going down, Johnson played on 25 percent of the snaps, had six targets and four catches for 17 yards. The yardage leaves something to be desired, but the six targets are nice. – @GeoffLambert77

WR Sterling Shepard (NYG) 45% Owned

Since returning from an early-season injury, Shepard has caught at least six balls in each game. Along with the catches have come even more opportunities, seeing 8+ targets in three of four games. As bad as the NFC East has been, Daniel Jones has finally started playing a little better, and Shepard has been the primary beneficiary. He may not have a high ceiling every week, but he’s emerged with a fringe WR3 floor. – @joshmkerr

RB James White (NEP) 40% Owned

Rex Burkhead likely has a torn ACL and will miss the remainder of the season. The Patriots always have a designated pass catching RB who is heavily targeted in their “death by 1,000 papercuts” offense. He saw 57% of snaps and nine targets in Week 11.

Damien Harris nor Sony Michel will be factors in the passing game. Harris has four targets all season and Michel has averaged 1.06 targets per game for his career. Cam Newton has been a dump-off machine in 2020 with an average intended air yard mark of 6.8 which ranks 33rd out of 40 qualifying QBs. White is only two seasons removed from finishing as a top 12 RB. He is a viable rest of season flex option in PPR leagues. –@FantasyBBQ
