The Best Waiver Adds for your Fantasy Team Week 13

Things are pretty thin on the wire, but the Goingfor2 team has a few gems left to help you make that late season push!

RB DeAndre Washington (MIA) 1% Owned

Everyone in fantasy football has been scrambling for COVID replacements. While the Dolphins backfield is currently banged up, Washington may be a good add, especially in deeper leagues. He looked a lot better and more reliable than Matt Breida, who also lost a fumble. The numbers aren’t awe-inspiring, but opportunity counts even if it is for a week or two while the backfield heals up. Add Washington in 14-plus team leagues. – @ricco_3733

RB Cam Akers (LAR) 20% Owned

Scoring his first career rushing touchdown in Week 12 against the 49ers, Cam Akers easily had his best game of the season. Akers scored 14.4 fantasy points with 84 rushing yards and a touchdown on nine carries. Temper expectations for Akers, because Sean McVay has rolled with a committee backfield this season. Henderson had one more carry than Akers in Week 12, but only managed a measly 12 yards. With the state of running backs this season, few match Akers upside if he were ever given the majority of the backfield work. He’s a pickup and stash for now. – @GMenJay

WR Gabriel Davis (BUF) 3 % Owned

With John Brown on IR, Davis moves into the WR3 with Stefon Diggs and Cole Beasley. In the three games, Brown has missed this season, Davis has 16 targets, nine catches, and a TD. On the year he has a total of four TDs on 35 targets. That’s one TD for every 9 attempts. To put that in perspective, if Diggs averaged a TD for every 9 targets, he’d have 12 TDs — he has four. It’s a stat that doesn’t mean much, but it’s just an interesting stat that shows how valuable he can be in the red zone. – @GeoffLambert77

RB Devontae Booker (LVR) 8% Owned

This is my second plea for a Booker add. And I am especially talking to those who have rostered Josh Jacobs. Jacobs injured his ankle in the Week 12 shit-show that the Raiders put on the field. It was bad, and there was no purpose in Jacobs coming back. But the extent of the injury is unknown. And in Week 13 the Raiders get to redeem themselves against the New York Jets. For his part in games where the Raiders showed up, specifically Weeks 9-10, Booker was 24-149-3.- @neverenoughglt

WR Keke Coutee (HOU) 1% Owned

Will Fuller‘s suspension and Randall Cobb still on IR puts Keke Coutee in line for more targets and most likely the starting job next to Brandin Cooks. This could be the pickup that helps your team in the fantasy playoffs or to just get you into the fantasy playoffs. – @reynoldst5858

WR Allen Lazard (GB) 39% Owned

Allen Lazard is now two weeks removed from an IR stint with a core muscle injury and it looks like he’s settled right back into his role in the offense. Coming off a 4/23/1 performance against the Bears on Sunday Night Football, Lazard continues to show an ability to come down with contested passes and works as the reliable 2nd option in this potent Packer’s pass attack. Lazard walks into a golden spot against the Eagles next week and rounds out the season with plus matchups against the Lions, Titans, and Bears (oh my)! – @FantasyNav

TE Jordan Akins (HOU) 4% Owned

Akins has been the recipient of five red-zone targets over the last four weeks. Deshaun Watson will be missing Will Fuller and Randall Cobb (likely) for the rest of the season which means 11.6 vacated targets per game are up for grabs. Someone has to step in and absorb some of that volume. More volume plus coveted red-zone targets equal a potential league-winning TE you can pick up right before the fantasy playoffs. –@FantasyBBQ

QB Jalen Hurts (PHI) 4% Owned

There’s no question that Carson Wentz is skating on thin ice in Philly and he didn’t do much to help his case Monday night against the Seahawks. Jalen Hurts was reported to have taken away starter’s reps at practice heading into the week and saw some action on the field yesterday against Seattle. He remains to be more of a speculative add at this point but with a full complement of weapons and a coaching staff with an itchy trigger finger; Hurts is a nice stretch-run stash in 2-QB formats or for anyone thin at the position. – @FantasyNav

Others to Consider

  1. WR Michael Gallup (DAL) 42%
  2. TE Logan Thomas (WAS) 41%
  3. TE Trey Burton (IND) 19 %
  4. WR Denzel Mims (NYJ) 7%
