The Best Waiver Adds for your Fantasy Team Week 14

RB Ty Johnson (NYJ) 2% Owned

Picture this: It’s Week 14 and you need a potential every-down back to push you through the playoffs. Ty Johnson appears before your eyes after a huge 22/104/1 game (4.7 YPC). Even though he has relatively tough matchups, we just witnessed Wayne Gallman torch Seattle. Sign Ty as your FLEX spot with RB2 upside this week. – @ricco_3733

TE Logan Thomas (WFT) 40% Owned

I am here to beat the drum on Logan Thomas once again. He posted a 9/98/1 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday night. Since Alex Smith has taken over, Thomas has seen 29 targets over the last five games. With the tight end position in a down year, he may be worth a look if you have question marks on your roster. Although his schedule may not look favorable down the stretch, The Washington Football Team will most likely be playing from behind in must-win games as they look to stay competitive in the NFC East. Also, he may be good for a snap or two under center each week. – @shawn_sulli5

WR Chad Hansen (HOU) 0% Owned

All of our dynasty players are going to love this call, or maybe they’ll get lost in flashbacks of what felt like wasted potential from seasons past. Whether he’s been on your taxi squad forever or you’ve never heard of the guy, nobody saw this game coming from Chad Hansen.

He exploded against the Colts for a 7/101/0 line and, more importantly, lead all Texans receivers in snap % and routes run on Sunday. Coupling this with what sure looked like another head injury for Cooks and Hansen might have carved a role for himself in Houston and is worth a look in deeper formats. – @FantasyNav

WR Tim Patrick (DEN) 21% Owned

I still can’t believe that Tim Patrick is so widely available. I chalk this up as one of those situations where he missed a little time with injury and returning to the field just in time for the Kendall Hinton fiasco didn’t have people rushing to the wire to scoop him up. Even with all of that working against him, Patrick sees about 20% target share in the Broncos offense and is a monster in the red zone; getting about 15% of all red zone looks and hauling in all 8 of his targets this season (including both his touchdowns this week). – @FantasyNav

WR TY Hilton (IND) 45% Owned

Don’t look now, but TY Hilton is coming off of back-to-back double-digit games. In Weeks 12 and 13 Hilton combined for 16 targets, 8 catches, 191 yards, and 2 touchdowns. The Colts have juicy matchups in the first two weeks of the fantasy playoffs, Las Vegas in Week 14, and Houston in Week 15. If Hilton continues to get this type of target volume, he has no business being on the waiver wire. – @GMenJay

RB J.D. McKissic (WFT) 48% Owned

The injury bug has bitten another running back, this time the victim is Antonio Gibson. We still don’t know if he’s going to miss time, but J.D. McKissic already had a pass-catching roll in this offense. McKissic caught all 10 of his targets in the Week 13 upset of the Pittsburg Steelers and scored over 17 fantasy points for the third time in the past five games. Alex Smith loves to check the ball down, and if Gibson misses any time at all, McKissic could see an even bigger share of the backfield. – @GMenJay

QB Jalen Hurts (PHI) 3% Owned

The Eagles finally benched Carson Wentz. Going forward, look for Hurts to play out the year. The sample size is small, but he had some great throws to WRs Greg Ward and Jalen Reagor. If you add in the rushing potential he has and the fact that the Eagles should be behind most of the year, Hurts should be a solid QB2 for the ROS. – @EagleDanFF

WR Collin Johnson (JAX) 0% Owned

Rookie WR Collin Johnson now has two back-to-back strong performances with QB Mike Glennon under center. This week all the Jags WRs were healthy and he still put up a solid line with four catches for 66 yards and a two-point conversion. He may not be someone you can trust in the fantasy playoffs, but he is worth an add just in case you get desperate. He is a must-add for you dynasty players out there — that is if he isn’t already owned. – @GeoffLambert

WR Keke Coutee (HOU) 27% Owned

Coutee exploded to the tune of eight grabs and 141 yards with Will Fuller suspended and Randall Cobb hurt. Throw this weekend’s potential loss of Brandin Cooks to injury, and you have yourself a player set to see a WR1 role. With Deshaun Watson running the offense, there will always be balls to go around. Coutee will be in a position to be on the receiving end of many of those from now on, building on his already impressive stint. – @joshmkerr

TE Cole Kmet 1% Owned

Cole Kmet emerged this week as a legit Tight End option. Sure this week was his only viable week but if you take a closer look his snap percentage has gone up over the last 3 weeks to 70% to 79% to 77% and has been running more routes and seeing more targets than Jimmy Graham. He might be a guy to snag and hold for one more week if you want, but his playoff schedule is among the best at the TE position. He was a tantalizing talent in the draft this past season and he looks ready to make a mark in your fantasy playoffs. – @Marco_14P

QB Baker Mayfield 38% Owned

Mayfield is coming off two impressive performances where he combined for 592 yards, six TDs, and zero interceptions. His Week 14 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens is daunting, but he gets the Giants and the Jets in Weeks 15 and 16. He has underperformed for 2020, but he could be the catalyst to propel your team to a fantasy championship in the two most crucial weeks of the season. – @FantasyBBQ

Other to Consider

  1. RB Jeffery Wilson Jr. (SF)
  2. WR Rashard Higgins (CLE)
  3. WR Cam Sims (WTF)
  4. WR Gabe Davis (BUF)
