The Only Waiver Article You Need for Week 10 (2021)

Week 9 is in the books, and boy was this week a doozy. Upsets all over the place from Broncos putting it on the Cowboys to the Bills falling to the lowly Jags. It’s not a great week for waivers, but there are a few gems, and as always the GoingFor2 team has your back…

WR Elijah Moore (NYJ) 41% Rostered

First off, placing any Jets player is still weird to me….. BUT… Elijah Moore truthers… REJOICE! He’s gone 13/151/2 his last two games. With the Jets likely playing from behind, expect Moore to have WR3 numbers with higher upside for more. Jarred Riccadonna @ricco_3733

QB Taysom Hill (NO) 27% Rostered

We were a bit fooled last week when Taysom was announced healthy and fully available for the Saints. Trevor Siemian ended up with the start and the Saints ended up losing the game because they couldn’t do anything for 3 quarters. You probably won’t need to use a claim on him, but keep an eye on Sean Payton’s press conferences this week.

If Taysom is announced as the starter, his rushing ability gives him an egregiously high floor. In his 4 starts in 2020, he reached 17.5 points in each game. He also had over 230 passing yards in three of those games with the exception being that weird game in Denver where Kendall Hinton was the QB. Point is, if Taysom gets the starting job, he is potentially a starter for you. Kyle Bazin @KyleTheCommish

RB Eno Benjamin (ARI) 0% Rostered

Eno Benjamin was a popular name in dynasty and devy fantasy football circles two years ago. Unfortunately, that hasn’t translated into much playing time for the Arizona Cardinals running back. Benjamin was selected in the 6th Round of the 2020 NFL draft out of Arizona State, but has recorded only 11 career carries to this point. Nine of those carries came in Sunday’s win over the San Fransisco 49ers. Chase Edmonds left the game early with a high ankle sprain and will miss an extended period of time. Benjamin nows sits as the backup running back to James Conner, who should start in Edmonds absence.

Benjamin performed well with the carries he received this week. He posted 39 yards on the nine carries and scored an impressive touchdown. Additionally, Benjamin was getting decent playing time on first and second down while Conner’s passing game usage ticked up. I don’t expect Benjamin to have as much week-to-week value as Edmonds or Conner. However, in favorable matchups, he could serve as a solid flex option. Furthermore, he becomes the logical handcuff if Conner was to miss any action in the future. Jay Christensen @JayC_DFF

WR Donovan Peoples-Jones (CLE) 22% Rostered

The Peoples’ Jones!!!! So, OBJ leaves, and who picks up the slack but the new multi-initial player DPJ. Week 9, he went for 86 yards on 2 catches and a TD. The Browns face NE, Detroit, and the Ravens before a Week 13 bye. Is he going to have 3 weeks of monstrous proportions? Probably not, but as the new #2 to Landry, he is worth a stash and a flex play. Mayfield will continue to get more comfortable with DPJ, and he has the potential to finish as WR #1 in Cleveland by season’s end. I like this kid, he’s fast. has great hands. and easily wins the deep ball contest vs secondaries. I love his outlook and ability, so feed DPJ! Courtney Burrows @luvtractor3

WR Rashod Bateman (BAL) 57% Rostered

Still owned in only 57 percent of Sleeper redraft leagues, Bateman continues to get better with each game. Having missed the first six weeks of the season due to core muscle surgery, he has now played in a total of three career games. Over those three games, he has 12 catches on 20 targets(8 in week nine) for 161 yards and zero touchdowns.

Although the Ravens are historically a run-first team, Lamar Jackson has bumped up his average pass attempts to 25 per game in 2020 to 33 per game so far this year. With the Ravens relying on older running backs, Jackson has been asked to shoulder more of the load. This allows both Marquise Brown and Bateman an opportunity to succeed. Look for Bateman to be a WR3/flex for the rest of the season, with an upside for more. Brian Craighead @vandygrad92

RB Rhamondre Stevenson (NE) 15% Rostered

Leave it to Bill Belichick to engineer a game plane that included an udner-the-radar running back totalling over 100 yards against the best run defense in the league. Rhamondre Stevenson was the leading rusher and receiver for the Patriots against New Orleans last week. He has steadily accrued more rushing yards each week he’s seen the field and caught seven of eight targets.

Although he only played in 27% of snaps last week and hasn’t played more than 34% in a game yet, his impressive performance last week, including 6.2 yards per rush attempt, could earn him more playing time. New England faces another stingy run defense this week with the Browns, but that could once again work out in Stevenson’s favor as the defenders will be keyed in on Damien Harris. Cecily Riddell @MrsTeamRIddell
