Baltimore Ravens -6.5 -112
As a bettor, I love seeing favored teams with a spread of either -6.5 or -2.5. All it takes is one TD or one field goal to cover. With the Ravens being tied for first place in the AFC North, I expect them to pull out the win against the Browns. Lamar Jackson’s running ability gives Baltimore an edge against most teams if they are not able to stop the QB from getting out of the pocket. Jackson can turn a blown play into a TD with his unusual spread and elusiveness. The Browns have not faced a quarterback like this yet this season. Cleveland’s defense will have to learn quickly if they have a chance at pulling off this upset.Â
Tennesse Titans -2.5 -112
Before the season started, the Colts were widely considered the favorite to win the AFC South. It seems the Titans took this to heart. After a slow start to the season, losing to the Giants and Bills, Tennesse has won 3 straight games. One of those contests was the 24-17 win over the Colts in Indianapolis. During that match, the Titans took a 24-10 lead before the half and stalled for the last two quarters. With home-field advantage, and the fact they have already beaten this team by a touchdown, I expect Tennesse to win by at least seven. If you were to stretch the spread to -6.5 you would be looking at +155.Â
Kansas City Chiefs -1.5 -113
The main thing that makes me double-think this bet is the embarrassment that San Francisco suffered in week six against the Falcons. Barring the 49ers taking out all of their pent-up aggression on the Chiefs, Kansas City should be able to cover -1.5 easily. Even if San Francisco can take a lead late, the magician that is Patrick Mahomes can always put the Chiefs in a position to win. With a spread of 1.5, it is basically a pick ’em. Because Mahomes is able to make last-minute crazy play, I will always give him an advantage when it comes to bets.Â
