Dynasty Rookie Sleepers
With the NFL draft right around the corner, people are looking forward to their rookie drafts to find the future of their dynasty teams. We all know the stars in the draft like Barkley, Guice, and Ridley but drafts are won in that later rounds. Last year fantasy players were able to find diamonds in the rough outside of the first round in Juju Smith- Schuster (2.02), Cooper Kupp (2.06), Kareem Hunt (2.03), Deshaun Watson (3.02) and Tarik Cohen (3.08). A lot of these guys flew under the radar or had knocks on them which caused them to drop. Here’s a little bit of help to find the next big stars of the league who nobody knows.
9John Kelly – RB – Tennessee
The junior running back from Tennessee followed in the footstep of his predecessor Alvin Kamara in having a limited amount of touches before going pro. While they are completely different backs Kelly is a very talented prospect. At 5’9” 205 pounds, Kelly uses his compact frame to break tackles and give defenders a smaller target to hit. Kelly was able to be used running between the tackles as well as outside and put up 9 touchdowns on only 189 carries. What really should intrigue fantasy owners about Kelly is his receiving ability. Last season Kelly has 37 catches for 299 yards this should for sure get him a role in the NFL. John Kelly has the potential to be a dynamic receiving back for a team with the talent to possibly get himself a starting job and be a fantasy steal.
