UFC 251 Picks

MMA Picks by Alex Juarez aka Mr Fantasy Dime

How’s it going fellow betting enthusiasts, welcome back to what we can finally consider a great UFC card. This card is stacked and that leaves us with a ton of opportunity to enjoy great fights while perhaps making a bit of money on the side. Before we jump into who we have picked, let’s remember that betting is a serious hobby and that we must only bet money we can afford to lose. That being said, let’s see who we like:

Petr Yan vs Jose Aldo

Jose Aldo is perhaps one of the most recognizable names in the UFC, and while certainly he is a living legend amongst the fighters, he isn’t what he once was. Jose Aldo is only 3 and 5 in his last 8 bouts (3 of those losses coming in the way of TKO/KO) and has suffered a loss in his only fight in the bantamweight division. Aldo at this point in his career just doesn’t pass the eye test and seems to be on the tail end of his career in the UFC. Yan, on the other hand, is on a 9 fight win streak and is 6 and 0 since he entered the UFC. During this span, Yan has shown that he throws more significant strikes and also attempts more takedowns than Aldo per 15 mins. And while this is a title fight of 5 rounds, Petr Yan who is 6 years younger, also beats Aldo in every physical aspect other than reach including cardio. Jose Aldo did it better than most for longer than most, but at UFC 251 Petr Yan will make him consider retirement or going back up to his original weight class.

I predict that Yan will win in a landslide decision
Pert Yan -220 if you’re feeling a bit riskier BUSR.com/goingfor2 has Yan by Dec. at +240 or Yan by KO, TKO, Dq at +115

Kamara Usman vs Jorge Masvidal

After a great 48 fight career, Jorge Masvidal finally gets a title shot. It comes at a very heavy price for Jorge though. He is taking this fight without a proper camp on a 6-day notice while up 22 pounds, however, Gamebred aka Jorge Masvidal thrives in this type of chaotic environment. He has since made weight and tested negative for COVID 19 which were his 2 biggest obstacles prior to facing off with Usman. Gamebred is coming into this fight with a lot of hype on this name, having scored the fastest knockout in UFC history and then taking home the BMF belt which was bestowed upon him by Dwayne the Rock Johnson in his last 2 bouts. Gamebred has never been knocked out or stopped while in his time in the UFC, however, he also has never faced a fighter like Kamara Usman. Usman is just on a different level, sure Jorge could run and jump and knock him out in a spectacular fashion but this most likely outcome is that Usman will outclass Jorge with his superior wrestling. Usman has always been known as a great wrestler as his background indicates, but during his bout with his biggest rival yet, Colby Covington, Usman showed that he has also improved on his stand up game considerably. His striking may be on par with that of Jorges at this point. Look for Usman to take the fight to the ground and grind out a proper and one-sided victory.

Usman -235 risker picks on BUSR.com are Usman by Sub. At +1000 or Usman by Dec. at +150
