Ultimate Fantasy Rookie Performances to Follow: Week 12

It’s that time in the season where you’re praying to hold on to a spot in playoffs or to make it into the fantasy playoffs. Or, you could be like me and be sad that your teams should be good, and yet, there is no hope of making it . There’s always next season I guess. At least I have Scott Fish Bowl 12 (where I am currently ranked 393 out of 3000 #HumbleBrag).

Rankings are based on PPR values and scores are betwixt parentheses. This week the pictures represent each player’s rank based on Thanksgiving infamy.

I’ve seen this on the Thanksgiving table.

5. Treylon Burks (18.1)

In one week, Treylon Burks almost doubled his yardage production for the entire season. He had 7 catches for 111 yards. It’s hard to believe that this is sustainable going forward, but it is impressive he pulled off this statline against the allegedly good Green Bay Packers defense.

A personal favorite despite the fact that I don’t eat vegetables.

4. George Pickens (18.3)

My number one pick is slowly creeping up the yearly rookie fantasy scoreboard after his 4 catch, 83 yards, and a touchdown performance. Kenny Pickett is rounding into a serviceable quarterback, which is helping the whole Pittsburgh offense. It’s going to be hard to chase down the current best, but at least he could make it interesting.

Never miss. Except that one time my brother in law made it. He doesn’t read this, so it’s fine.

3. Wan’Dale Robinson (19.4)

If your name was Wan’Dale Robinson,it was the best of times, it was the worst of times. After catching the ball 9 times for 100 yards and rushing for another 4 yards (his highest output of the season) Wan’Dale tore his ACL at the start of the fourth quarter. At least he had one week on the fantasy countdown before disappearing for the rest of the season.

FLAVORED BREAD. YUM.

2. Christian Watson (21.1)

It’s pretty easy to make it near the top of the list when you score two touchdowns in one week. Watson is currently on a hot streak, with five touchdowns over the last two weeks. With the way the Packers offense as a whole is working currently, Watson has a good chance to continue to produce.

Obviously the best

1. Chris Olave (21.2)

Olave continues to be the best rookie receiver of the season (which I did call when I drafted him in the first round of my dynasty league). This week, he had 5 catches for 102 yards and a touchdown. Chris Olave is so good that he is single handedly reviving Andy Dalton’s career.

Quick obligatory Jets talk: Zach Wilson is bad. This week he had a total of 77 yards. He is killing Garrett Wilson’s value. In three games with Joe Flacco, Garrett Wilson had 18 catches with 214 yards. In the seven games since Zach Wilson rejoined the lineup, Garrett has had a total of 26 catches for 319 yards. After Robert Saleh called the offense dogshit at the postgame press conference, maybe there will be a change that will give Garrett Wilson a chance to shine again (and also make it so I don’t have to specify which Wilson I’m talking about while I’m writing).

Remember to set your lineups before eating Thanksgiving with your family this week. Good luck to everyone who needs it to make playoffs.

Sincerely,

@MeLlamoMoron
