DFS NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 3/21/16

What’s up guys? I’m short on time tonight, so the narrative on my featured players will be shorter than normal. Rest assured, the research was still done, just don’t have a lot of time to type up all the statistical reasons why I like a player. Here we go…

Game Winner My Game Winner will be my top play for the position.

Dunk A Dunk is a second or third tier player with the highest upside.

Half-Court Shot Otherwise known as a “punt play”.

Pass A player deemed a Pass is someone I’m avoiding — or “passing” on.

NBA DFS Fanduel Lineup Advice and Analysis for 3/21/16

Point Guard

Game Winner Stephen Curry (GS) @ MIN $10,200

nba fanduel lineup advice 3/21/16Curry has scored 35 fanduel points or less six times this year and in the game proceeding his “bad game” he is averaging 42 fanduel points, which includes two 60-plus point performances. He had 32.2 in the game against the Spurs last game.

Dunk Brandon Knight (PHO) vs MEM $6,800

Boom or bust candidate Brandon Knight should have no problem being “boom” tonight versus a Grizzlies team that has struggled to defend the guard positions over the last three weeks.

Half-Court Shot George Hill (IND) vs PHI $5,500

He made my value column for Saturday and he did not disappoint — dropping 40 on the Thunder. Tonight he gets the Sixers and should have no trouble here either. Maybe not 40, but I’ll take 30-35.

Pass Kemba Walker (CHA) vs SA $8,600

Did you see what the Spurs just did to Curry? I’ll pass.

Shooting Guard

Game Winner Jimmy Butler (CHI) vs SAC $8,300

nba fanduel lineup advice 3/21/16This is it. This is the game we welcome Butler back to elite DFS status. Only the Suns are worse than the Kings in giving up fantasy points to the opposing shooting guards.

Dunk Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (DET) vs MIL $5,600

The Bucks are another team that struggles to defend the two guard spot, and KCP has played well lately. Not to mention he averages 37 minutes a game.

Half-Court Shot Nik Stauskas (PHI) @ IND $4,100

I cringe putting him here, but he has gone over 20 fanduel points in four of his last five and went over 30 in two of those.

Pass Victor Oladipo (ORL) @ BOS $8,500

His price has shot up to a point where I don’t think he can consistently hit value, and now that Elfrid Payton is being worked back in, Dipo’s days of being elite are coming to an end. He will just go back to being really really good.

Small Forward

Game Winner Paul George (IND) vs PHI $9,200

nba fanduel lineup advice 3/21/16“You must be this tall to ride the Paul George roller coaster, please keep all hands and arms inside the car at all times, this ride is not recommended for people with heart conditions or pregnant women.” I’m a gluten for punishment, but I LOVE the Paul George rollercoaster.

Dunk Evan Fournier (ORL) @ BOS $6,000

This may be the ugliest position tonight. There are more players currently listed as “out” than there are players I want in my lineup. The Celtics are awful against forwards, so Fournier represents the best of value plays at small forward.

Half-Court Shot Hollis Thompson (PHI) @ IND $4,200

He has limited upside, but if you need a guy at $4,200 to hit 20-23 points, he is your man.

Pass Nicolas Batum (CHA) vs SA $8,000

Batum meet Kawhi Leonard, Leonard this is Nicolas Batum.

Power Forward

Game Winner LaMarcus Aldridge (SA) @ CHA $7,900

nba fanduel lineup advice 3/21/16“Aldridge and Kawhi Leonard are the future of this franchise.” I hear that on every broadcast of a Spurs game. Guess what? “Welcome to the future.”

Dunk Gorgui Dieng (MIN) vs GS $6,500

The Warriors are actually decent in points allowed to power forwards, but the pace and a number of shots that will be taken in this game make both big men for the Wolves good plays. Tons of rebounds to go around.

Half-Court Shot Bobby Portis (CHI) vs SAC $4,400

Assuming Pau Gasol is out, Portis will once again be given a nice allotment of minutes and has a better matchup tonight than he did against the Jazz.

Pass Alex Len (PHO) vs MEM $6,600

The latest version of Len-sanity is over. Len is falling back to earth. Until his price drops a little more, I won’t be playing him.

Center

Game Winner DeMarcus Cousins (SAC) @ CHI $11,000

He’ll get 60-plus tonight. I’m calling it. Do not fade him in cash games. Period.

Dunk Karl-Anthony Towns (MIN) vs GS $8,800

nba fanduel lineup advice 3/21/16As mentioned above, the pace of this game will benefit the big men for the Wolves. There will be a ton of shots to get rebounds from, and KAT most likely won’t have to see any Andrew Bogut.

Half-Court Shot Tyson Chandler (PHO) vs MEM $4,700

Alex Len is falling and Chandler is climbing. Ride him before he realizes he is old.

Pass Andre Drummond (DET) vs MIL $7,700

This is actually a good matchup, and he may even sneak into a few of my lineups, but he is so inconsistent lately. Tournament play only.

The 6th Man (other plays I like)
