The Only Fantasy Football Wavier Article You Need, Week 13

RB Zonovan Knight (NYJ) 5% Owned

As someone who was high on Knight in predraft, I was let down to see him fall undrafted. After today he looks like he could be very valuable in the Jets offense now run by Mike White, where he fits this scheme perfectly. Now with Michael Carter injured, and James Robinson out of the picture, he has the chance to take over during valuable weeks of the fantasy season.

Five Yards per carry and over 11 yards per catch with 103 yards from scrimmage was a great way to kick off his career. Regardless of how serious the Carter injury is White seems to have given himself the chance to earn a role in this backfield for the rest of the season. Joe Puerschner @Joepuersch22

WR Zay Jones (JAX) 37% Owned

As Trevor Lawrence continues to develop as an NFL quarterback, Jones’ role continues to evolve as well. On Sunday, Jones had eleven catches(on fourteen targets) for 145 yards. Combined with his week 11 performance, he now has 19 catches(on 24 targets) for 213 yards over the last two games. Equally important, Jones has played in at least ninety percent of the snaps in six straight games.

He has a total of 36 catches(on 47 targets) for 377 yards during that stretch. Although he has only scored one touchdown on the season, Jones continues to provide weekly WR3/flex numbers, with the upside for more. With eight more teams on bye(six in week 14) over the next two weeks, fantasy managers could do far worse than Jones as a bye week replacement. Brian Craighead @vandygrad92

WR Nico Collins (HOU) 33% Owned

Although Collins’ ceiling is limited due to the Texans’ overall offensive production, he offers fantasy owners a solid WR3/flex floor. Over the last three games, Collins has amassed 16 catches(on 26 targets) for 141 yards and one touchdown. On Sunday, the Texans switched to Kyle Allen at quarterback, in place of Davis Mills. Collins pitched in with six catches(on nine targets) for 44 yards.

Although how much changing quarterbacks will improve the performance of the padding game moving forward is unknown , Collins will continue to play an integral part. He has played in at least 75 percent of the team’s snaps in three straight games.. Potential fantasy owners will have to gamble on Collins’ upside for even greater production, but at least the opportunity for success is already there. Brian Craighead @vandygrad92

RB Mike Boone (DEN) 6% Owned

Mike Boone will be an interesting add this week. He’s coming back from injured reserve after suffering an ankle injury in week 8. The Bronco’s recently released Melvin Gordon, and also newly acquired Chase Edmonds is missing significant time. Denver’s offense is struggling to move the ball down the field and could use all the help they can get.

Mike Boone has a small sample size this year, but he averages 6.8 yards per touch and 10.1 yards per reception. Those stats rank top 15 in both categories for all running backs. He has been productive when he gets the ball in his hands. The Broncos are in desperate need of a great pass catching running back, Boone is the go to guy who could help that offense move the ball out of the backfield.

It’s worth noting that Denver has the 7th easiest remaining schedule for the running back position. Don’t miss out on Mike Boone, add him now. Jamie Perog @JamiePerog

QB Mike White (NYJ) 8% Owned

At this point in the year, if you’ve made it this far and are still sniffing playoffs but you don’t have a QB, congratulations! If you’ve read any of my articles you’ve heard that the Jets have secretly been good. They only needed a quarterback that could throw the ball to Garrett Wilson.

In Mike White’s first outing of the season he only put up the fifth most points of the week at the position. The Bills will be a tricky game but otherwise the upcoming defenses are pretty soft and leave the possibility of big point games (I’m looking at you Lions). Pick up White before another QB needy team does. Nathan Janasik @Mellamomoron

WR Elijah Moore (NYJ) 29% Owned

With the change in QB, the Jets might have some life on the offensive side of the ball. The Jets have plenty of weapons, and Moore has shown he can be a great player in the NFL. During his rookie season, he put up three finishes inside the top 10. Even though Moore only had two targets last week, he got into the end zone with one of those catches, and he had a YPT of 32 yards.

Another reason to give Moore a look is his schedule. In the next four games, they have the Vikings(12), Buffalo(3), Detroit(28), and Jacksonville(18). There are some good matchups for the Jets and Moore to take advantage of. Austin Fullington @ajohnson1033

QB Jordan Love (GB) 1% Owned

Ok, so Rodgers went out with injuries and Love came in the 4th quarter vs the Eagles. He completed six of nine passes including an incredible on point 63 yard touchdown pass to Watson (which helped me win a few leagues). Packer fans have been waiting to see if their 2020 1st round pick could compete in a real time game, and he looked poised, mature. and comfortable. Do we really think Rodgers will miss time?

That remains unclear, but what is somewhat clearer is that if Love has to play a few more snaps under center, he looked ready. He’s most likely not available in dynasty leagues, but if not run don’t walk. Rodgers has been off more than he’s been on this year, who knows if he is 100% maybe Coach LaFleur sits him and plays with Love to give the Packers a needed down the stretch spark. In one qb leagues, there are better wavier wire qbs out there but in deeper leagues. he’s worth a stash. Courtney Burrows @luvtractor3
